the_stig 6,614
Froch will fight Degale for a number of reasons, firstly Froch has always slated Degales performances and venues he has fought at,secondly it is a very easy fight to make, thirdly it would be a big fight in Britain, fourthly it would bring in more money than any Vegas fight and fifthly degales style is made for Froch,he fights off the ropes, turns off in fights and loses focus and he doesnt have the power to trouble Froch one bit. Another thing is Degale has also slated Froch a lot.Froch would destroy him a lot easier than he did Groves. As for Groves he will come back and fight in Europe for his new promoters who just happen to also promote Abraham and Steiglitz who keep swapping the WBO strap between them so a few wins and he could get a shot at who ever has the strap ,and he could beat them two easily, infact he should have went this route rather than fighting Froch in the first place. groves should of admitted to himself froch beat him in the first fight then gone Abraham or steiglitz ----then degale and froch again if he was still around groves now needs someone who will look after him and guide him in the right direction he held his own in this fight with froch upto the ko.... if the degale fight can be made November time it could happen and froch bow out in vegas next year,
gnasher16 31,178
I cant see Groves ever winning a world title.............annoys me in a way the arrogance some of these young fighters have, what some of us would of done for half their ability.......yet he seems to think he is beyond guidance........this will be a good indicator of where exactly Groves is at as a character. Stylistically i fancied Groves to upset Froch based on their first meeting but you cant go into a fight against someone like Froch with no real plan and think you can just coast through on ability alone......id be very surprised if he stays with his current trainer. Where Froch go,s from here depends on his desire......he,ll be having thoughts about hanging the gloves up at the moment but that doesnt last......personally i think a fitting end to his career would be a rubber match with Kessler though Froch has a lot of miles on the clock he might want to go out on something a touch easier and who can blame him.
