Nik_B 3,791
I did get some pressies but I'm not too fussed about them for myself, I got a Zippo lighter and a shirt off the wife and a few other bits n bobs. My mum and dad got me a game journal, something to write the days catch/bags in. Probably the best present I could have had was the fact that our day were absolutely seamlessly, in years gone by we've had rows, people drinking too much or the kids opening all their pressies in the first 30 minutes leaving us nothing to do the rest of the day and not to mention missing Xmas because of work which happens a fair few times. This time we got up at 8:30 the kids opened a few pressies, in laws then came round, then we opened a few more presents and we started to prepare our roast rib of beef. My 20 year old daughter sat with my 7 year old for 2 hours building lego together with hardly a cross word which made Christmas for me. Food was ready with military precision and on the table at 1:30. We had our Xmas dinner and had a bit of a rest then went to my folks house till 8pm. The kids still had a couple of presents to open when they got home TV had hardly been on all day which was nice. On boxing day I got my daughter to write about Xmas in her new journal so she has something to remember it by. Finally we have a Christmas to remember p.s we did still have a little row last night though
