Dog Being Attacked

Recommended Posts

On a walk with my two dogs this morning a dog came flying through a hedge and attacked my lurcher, took a bite into its foreleg before my whippet intervened, anyway the lurcher came too its senses and laid into the agressor the owner then appeared a shaven headed neanderthal that seemed quite pissed off that his dog had just taken a beating, he went on to explain that it was a rescue dog and that hed had problems with it. So why do rescue centers release these dogs to idiots that should not be allowed to own a gerbil or hamster or any animal with a higher IQ than themselves. Unfortunately the dogs breed was a staffie, now a aint knocking staffies or bull breeds but some of the twats that now own them, really do need a rocket up their arse. YIS KIC :hmm:

Typical wanker with a staffie I'd of given the dog a good thrashing and then the owner it pisses me off, I think dogs like that should only be kept for working purposes NOT fighting I f****n hate that, and these rescue centres should only let them go to hunting people that way they are pretty much gonna get looked after propley and worked

Had the same problem myself a few months ago walking down canal 6foot sted head with a bullmastiff off the lead and I could just tell it was after blood warned him to put it on lead because if it come breasting up my dogs wouldn't back down he didn't listen and shrugged it off with an attitude like if they do fight mine will win so I'm ok well that attitude didn't last long after seeing 2 fully conditioned lurchers at there prime he soon relised his plate licking fat bullmastiff wasn't as hard as he first thought he then after rescuing his dog started to turn on me and tell me I'm a prick and my dogs aren't trained and should be put down this is at 6 in the morning and my dogs were on a lead I told him were to shove it and told him my dogs are trained and if he was a responsible owner it would of been on a lead and avoided all this situation he then swing for me and I ducked jumped back up and dropped him and walked off some people seem to think they can do what they like because of size and weight well this man and his dog learnt a valuable lesson that day I see him regular now and he just puts his head down and his dog harnessed up so all in all it was worth it I since found out 2 week before are little incident he's dog killed 2 Yorkshire terriers

The bigger they are the harder they fall

Same here always carry a stout stick but the lurched will get fired in if some thing starts ,but then you get the reply it's never done that before

'He just wants to play' ........ 'he's never done that before'

Unless Me or my dog kick feck out of it,in which case 'he was only playing'

The good thing about lurchers is that they can run away,so I just let mine off lead if a strange dog gets near.

don't get me started on this issue one of my dog was, well all i can only say brutally murdered a few weeks back! and am really struggling to get over it!!

gutted for you pal i can only imagine what your going through

bloody hell same here mate reall sorry for you, what happened pm if you want .? ive got a pup 1x gsd x grey, very big_strong young dog.He is as soft as shit to be honest with people+dogs and i would like to keep it that way.But if he got nailed by another dog now at his 16 months old, it could either make a bigger wimp lol, or a feckin killer and a dog this size+power the last thing you need in a animal.
