Sire For My Greyhound Bitch.

Recommended Posts

Hi I'm looking for a sire for a greyhound bitch. I started a thread last Sunday but it somehow got deleted I think, because I can't find it for love nor money. She is an ex racer, but has taken to making short work of what the terriers flush from the bushes. I have two homes waiting for pups and I would keep one myself. She won't be in season for a while, so I thought I would do a bit of research. I'm preferably looking for a Beddy x Whippet or a Wheaton x Whippet. I have never posted on here before but have been an keen reader of THL for a while now. Any constructive welcomed. Cheers.

Why would you HAVE to go back to a pure greyhound?? Why not a 3/4 bred or a line bred coursing dog?? A greyhound brings nothing to the table except speed imo. I would sacrifice a little speed every ti

Put in the miles and ask cleanspade if you can use his wheaten whippet

A greyhound should only be used to start a base. ie first x. After that lurcher to lurcher imo

Where are you from mate? I have a young lad he is saluki grey- bedlington whippet. He's got loads of character n great on rabbit and seen other things. On your number if interested n I'll send piks. I'm still putting time into the lad but I'm thinking of a new pup to bring along side him and this might work for both of us.

Alright guys, I couldn't find the right dog for this bitch when she was in season last time, so decided to leave it rather than just breed with anything. Still looking to bring the height down a bit and thicken the coat as she often gets cuts and grazes from her thin coat and skin. She is due to break in the next week or so. She is a small stocky greyhound with ridiculous prey drive. Will try and put a couple of pics up later. Cheers for any info.

why not use cleanspade wheatenxwhippet ? it will drop the height, give better coat, and should have plenty of fire in in from the terrier in the mix
