Where Do Dead Bodies Go !!

Recommended Posts

Your right there Scott, I doubt any farmer would leave a large dead animal out in the middle of his field too long, and a lot of areas with high populations of deer will be managed by shooters too...

in a case like that gnash,id imagine the farmer will remove the carcass, for health reasons to his other stock.when fishing up north i have found red deer carcasses.bones all still there, bleached white by the sun,and partially buried with the weather.

i guess if you really wanted to dig,you would find plenty of long deceasrd animal bones., time team dig up cattle bones from hundreds of years ago.

Right ok so they do exist then.....thats what i meant in areas where there is no bod to come along and deal with it...........i often have a walk round land that i doubt ever recieves another bootprint other than mine yet ive very rarely seen an animal torso and never a skeleton even though theres plenty of animal traffic through there......just got me curious.

yea mate must have been same programme. they also were going into villages.sneakily walking quiet(which i found hard to believe, but they apparantly can be very quiet) anyway they would go into these villages in the dead of night, and with there trunks pull c**ts out there beds and smash them to death on the ground. scientists have a theory they do this cause the villages are getting to close to thier terrority.and they see them as a threat.

They probably just get kicked about and covered by growth unless they are in the middle of a field and get removed or ploughed into the ground. Over time they would get swallowed up by the earth and preserved if they haven't been eaten or removed. Think of the way that dinosaur skeleton's are dug from the ground these days. Same thing happened to them, it's just the ground they went into has turned to rock over the centuries..

Ahhh yes thats a fair point.......its not like its a new thing is it......swallowed up by the ground,i like that  .................Its just the way my curious mind works but surely then when theirs big developments of new build towns in country places they must come across all sorts.......interesting.

The skeleton will just collapse once the flesh has been eaten or rotted away, and in grass, you will not see it as obviously as a recently deceased animal. As has been said, a lot of sick animals will head for a quiet spot where they won't get any mither from other animals, and they will perish there.

Flies..maggots ...all manner of carnivore wildlife..then then the insects will pick the bones totally clean...Bones will be dispersed by foxes..badgers..rats..dogs..cats..eventually the ground/foliage will cover the remaining bones up. Tests are done on Body farms throuoght america just for this particular purpose ..to see how a body breaksdown under natural circumstances.
