It's a sad state of affairs but it's all about priorities. I don't have children but if I did I'd be makin sure that they were clothed and fed with a roof over there head. But these folk seem more bothered about buyin fags,beer and massive TVs to play there x box on.

I worked on a S.London council estate for 4 years or so, back in the early '90s and i feared for the future back then !

Rubbish everywhere, high unemployment, huge crime and drug problems, burnt out cars, lifts that double as toilets, the list goes on.....it's horrific.!

Putting to one side who you think is to blame,what worries me is that the youngsters growing up in these war zones are the next generation - the ones we have to pass the torch to in the very near future.

I don't watch programmes like this, because they just reinforce the feeling of 'God help us!'

I was born and bred in south london and let me tell you, some of these folk are animals!.....anyone who rants on about people being racisit wants to go and live 6 months in one of those estates around Elephant & Castle or Peckham.......see how racist they are when they leave if they manage to stay alive

As I said before, some people are genuine folk who have fallen on hard times but some are total no hopers who will never get their act together no matter how many schemes or funds the government dream up

I think its an absoulete disgrace that there are food banks in our town up and down this country.ran by charities i might add nd good folk in the community.Is this what we elect a party for.there job is to look out for us above everything else.

no one in Britain shouldnt be able to feed themselfs! never mind aid to the tribes or money to the shambles that is EU. sort out the f***ing people first,no better than a third world country,f***ing food banks!!! jesus we have hit an all time low in this country.

I agree with what alot of people are saying especially about the girl with 5 kids, She had an xbox and a ps3 and hands full of rings but couldn't buy food, they are obviously getting too much money however That girl Jamelia I really feel sorry for her. Maybe she shouldn't have had a kid so young but accidents do happen and I don't agree with abortions. Sounds like she has dealt with alot living on the streets etc and she was doing her best to turn her life around. She went mad at her partner for not sticking by their child and she was upset that she is being forced to live around drugs. At the end when it showed you her new flat it was shit to be fair and there was nothing in it but she was so happy about it. It shows she appreciates the small things and she said she can now look for work. Yes it is all paid for out of tax payers money but that's what it should be used for to help people who really are in the shit and want to do something about it not the people who have applied for one job in the last 4 years.

There will still be people that get around it though. Im not slating anyone thats disabled for one second but some of those can work, I used to work in a call centre and there was a blind man that worked there, He had an adapted keyboard and brought his guide dog in with him yet I know a lad that has muscle problems and claims DLA he could easily work but whats the point when he gets about £1500 a month to live at home with his parents? He walks the shops, Walks the dog, Sits in his house smoking weed and drives his brand new disability car around. I also heard a conversation once talking about the job centre where a lad said put down that you want to work on a building site because you dont have a CSCS card so will never get the job but you can still prove you are applying. They should be given a list of jobs at random and if they dont apply then money is stopped

I was talking to my sister this morning, she said that last night at about 7,30pm a lady from Oxfam knocked her door asking her to donate £2 for clean water in Africa, My sisters reply was, over 35 years ago at school we all donated bottle tops to enable clean water to be available in Africa, every years since its been the same, however 35 years later there still shitting in the same rivers and washing there babies and clothes in the same rivers. All the The bottle tops and £2 a months in the world have changed nothing, now fook off

Again from my work for an ex forces charity, ESA that has replaced Disability Living allowance. Genuine people with very real disabilities are receiving zero points and being refused ESA, However Alcoholic`s and Drug users get 15 points and so qualify automatically, Its absolute madness
