FD this is rough length and width at least for "White Lady" which I think I remember that what you're growing.

I tend to agree with Charts. I make a load of chutney every year and it’s better to be using 8/9 inch beans as they don’t need spining. Having said that, if you grow stringless varieties I suppose you can let them go on a bit. IMO . Jok.

Well I'll stand by them. beans not wood or stringy. They are a stringless variety but I do still string them. If in any doubt I just snap them. The other thing I use a bean slicer you can tell straight away if you pass them through one of them.

I expected you  guys that grow runners will use a slicer.

This one I find brilliant as it slices and strings all in one go.
