I’m really lucky to have a great pal who must be one of the best veg growers in the country. Every year she brings me a van load of plants, a huge selection of toms, chillis , sweet peppers, cucumbers, courgettes, aubergines, pumpkins, kohl rabi, celery, celeriac and specialised plants like Vietnamese coriander and asparagus peas. All I do is repot or prepare the beds for planting. I grow my own onions, leeks, garlic, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, potatoes green beans and Mangetout.
