Sorry to hear bout the mrs family first n all that im gettin on a bit too and not been in best of health kept saluki lurchers same as yourself think we will all end up like that or running out the motor lol Always fancied another collie whippet for bushing seen more than a few that threw to the whippet and as game as they come best daytime busher i ever seen i bought for fifteen quid it was like a terrier hunting could fold up and run in bramble and caught more rabbits daytime than any bigger lurcher ive owned game little thing would go to ground too. buster gonads 862 Posted February 11, 2013 Report Share Posted February 11, 2013 Its nice to read a few post's from lads that have done a bit with out it turning into a slagging match, i,v come to the same conclusion as you Darbo, iam 55 now and have just got my first Beddy based running dog, well, 3/4 whippet 1/4 beddy tbh, after years of bigger dogs, its ferreting and mooching for me from now on, it,ll come to all of you one day , its easy'r to get and keep permision with a dog that looks like it cant catch owt bigger than a rabbit, atb, buster. my old mate buster kept the beddy types for 30 years he also always had a big dog for hares mainly 3/4 grey 1/4 deerhound. seen some good beddy types over the years real sharp dogs ideal for the mooching game. thats the road i will be going down. good luck with your young dog. I got two hancocks and there probbally the fastest dogs most prople have seen! My bitch misses nuthing on the lamp rabbit wise but thats all im into shes had the odd big ear when ive seen them and my dog is the same all this rubbish about working pereants is aloud of crap haha so everyone on here thats buying pups are conviced that if there outa working lines there garanteed to work? Haha fools the lot of you id put my bitch against any of your dogs on a lamp then youl soon change your mind Quote Link to post
paulsmithy83 567 Posted March 5, 2013 Report Share Posted March 5, 2013 There collie x and then there real collie x , the first is poss from Hancock collie x easy to get to certain standard but aint seen many be real type of collie x that seem to excel really excell suppose depends on ya standards really. There huge diff between working collie and non worker temp/stamina/grit just few things that need to be tested that a pen wont Odds are you gonna get a good in here there some 1 wins lottery every week but if you like show dog get em from him as u rarly find a bad put together 1 build wise Quote Link to post
