has anybody on here heard of a breger picared dog

 

a chap im working with told me about them and i said i never heard of them

 

supposed to be a good dog by all accounts

 

im going to find out next week just wondering if anybody runs one on here

French shepherd dog... Rare breed, look like mongrels thats as much as I know about them, saw some at crufts about 15yrs ago

There is someone breeding them as lurchers, crossed with Greyhounds. Tough dogs with good feet, drive and hunting instinct. Not the fastest in the world as a first cross, but plenty fast enough for most game though preban they wouldn't have had the gears for fen long ears.

 

My OH has three: this is the one that looks most like the Picardy. Very clever on the lamp.

im suprised the old enemy doenst go for the running dogs like we do ,i seen so many hares over there i get bored counting them,but they seem to be very much into shooting and hunting with hounds so i suppose they dont like the competion

We were ratting a pig farm down Litchfield way a couple of months back and one of the lads brought his picardy cross along, it caught as many as the terriers , he said it was the dogs wottsits on bigger stuff too and i have no reason to disbelieve him, it was a nice strong sort, buster.

Ils sont un chien de bonne taille. Je pense que woukld 1.4 à 3.4 faire une belle Lurcher.
