i'll be in birr looking for things and people to insult on here when i get home, i wish i had the balls to say things to peoples faces,, fukk that more fun being a keyboard ninja

Talk about WNM - what an absolutely silly statement - €15 is of very little interest to me! And as for cheating we do not allow or encourage cheating. We had an objection system in place at shanes as

good turn out and varriation of lurchers on sunday but why was there no fox dog and hare dog class available. its just that if you are gona show a working dog then i beleve that theese two classes are

I went to the show yesterday - felt guilty giving up a days hunting for it but was well impressed overall. Seems every bit as good as the Welsh if not better.

Prices were great on the various stalls in the afternoon - picked up a few bits and pieces that I had been looking for for a while.

Great to see the IWTF with good representation there - fair dues Albert for the support. Neil had his work cut out for him with the terriers - I couldn't stay long but it seemed like good craic around the ring.

The RISE demo could have done with a few more people - but I suppose everyone who turns up at a game fair supports them by default anyway. Maybe if they handed out fliers giving a brief overview of the threats facing us would have woken people up a bit?

Best of all the weather was perfect - 10 mins down the road and it was lashing.

U should get ur facts right kegs I never sold it I gave it 2 a young boy who was lookn 1 an then it didn't work out for him an he sold it on an I had my reasons for giving it away

so why didnt you get it to race as thats what youre always whining about on here.you gave it away to a lad who sold it to the lad who now wins with it at the whippet racing that you always go to lol so the expert who tells the lads on here about working dogs cant get her own to run so she sells them lol.and there was me goin to ask you for some advice for the season ahead.ahwell

The DWTC Traditional Dog Show Sunday 25thMay 2025
As the showing season has now took off for 2025 and the work in the field complete, it was nice to be able to make our annual trip to the DWTC traditional dog show on Sunday  25th May  in Gilford.  The weather  was not kind to us, with a light wind and several heavy showers in between  classes. This did not dampen the spirits of the show goers who came out to support this now popular annual show. The venue was superb, and the crowd was big.
Our shows are all great meeting places in the summer season for genuine Terrier, Lurcher, Whippet and Strong dog men and women to come together for a bit of craic  and a chat, and maybe go home with a trophy or two. And that is exactly what happened at the DWTC show on Sunday.
It was nice to see so many families, their children and dogs all out on enjoying a day out at the sport we love. Our passion is showing with our Canine friends in the summer and back to the field with them in the winter.
As show time was about to start, first on the menu and first in the ring was the childrens handling class. And boy did these little folk show their dogs. There were 24 very excited we people in the ring and everyone with their very special friend. You were all winners on the day and all went home with bags of lovely goodies to munch on. Well done to all.
The show commenced at approximately 1.00pm.
*Here are the Overall Showing Results
      Childrens Handling Class

Congratulations to the winners and all the children in the ring on Sunday.

And Finally, the day would not be complete without thanking the Judges.
      Childrens Handling Class
      Leanne Barry/Raymond Crilly
      Whippets / Jim Forrester
      Lurchers/ Jim Forrester
      Terriers/  Raymond Crilly
      Strong Dogs/ Eddie Shaw
And Finally, Finally, I always leave the best to last. Yes Tom and Leanne Barry, Ethan, Morgan, and your back up team Gary Mitchell and Thomas Coleman, you are all simply the best. Your show was run with impeccable organisation and everything ran without a hitch.
It was very evident a lot of preparation and hard work went on behind the scenes to make this show a success this year again and was a most enjoyable day for everyone.
Tom and Leanne, a brilliant day was had by all despite the rain. The window for Country Sports is in our blood and hopefully we will meet again at your show in 2026 for more of the same.
