Chartpolski ,this bitch must be one of them rare all rounders LOL

I said on another topic that Lurchers were in danger of splitting into three distinct types; "working", "showing" and "racing". This is allready happening. There are pups advertised as from "Show Winn

why not just get rid of the racing altogether and the bickering and lies will stop.

personally i think yous all should have come up and talked to the IWTF and supported what we are trying to do, the work we have done and the advice we could have given anyone of yous as in regarding the dog game in northern ireland or southern ireland, we are not actually lurchermen but we do know a fair bit about your particular choice in dogs..ie..the lurcher and what you can and can not do to work them legally in ireland.... the terriermen all seemed too stay away too lol.... yeah of course we had some interest and the weather was bad... but the fair itself was really good with great stalls, loadsa choice, great judges, fine food and an amazing turn out, was just a wee bit dishearted if im honest at the lack of support that we really should be receiving... instead of fighting over who won a lurcher race at a show or who got the prize rosette....

i suppose the lurcher racing men have nothing to worry about as there bit of sport is not under attack ..... until phillpot decides its cruel to breed a lurcher for running if he gets his way with the terriers it will not be long before he is looking to criminalise lurchers and everyman that owns one

Albert,

on another thread you said that there would be 3 line judges and photo finish equipment to clarify any confusion and challenges. Close calls would be decided by a 2 to 1 decision by the judges.

Yet now there was only 1 judge and no photo finish?

I was speaking about the Master McGrath race but I think lesson learned not just for Shanes but all shows for all racing - need at least two judges as it is a onerous and thankless task for one line judge.

But 4 isn't far off 6 I got sick watching greyhound racing I thot I was standing at a cousing meeting

Flash,

If you deposit your £20 and make a formal complaint we will seek to investigate the breeding of the dogs in question. But you must see that you are impugning the reputation of all who raced unless you make specific claims about dogs and individuals.

Mark,

Sorry I missed you on Sunday. I came down to see you and the other IWTF guys after I had got the car park sorted but you had gone. I was delighted to see the IWTF at the show and look forward to seeing you in bIrr.

Well there was a few greyhound men there on the day shane an they were all saying there the best looking greyhounds they have seen an if use all got the right story use wouldn't get caught people who lie about a dogs breeding will get caught sure roscrea have been racing like that for years its normal to use all now to belive that if its outa a greyhound bitch to a greyhound dog un reg the pups its still a lurcher

There's winning by a tight race but when u put greyhounds in to a novice race for a lurcher a proper lucher as collie bull greyhound or wheaton greyhound its not on for pure breds to race if u wanted to race a greyhound all u had to do was say to albert about it lol an a collie greyhound saluki u sure there's not a jag of bull in the mix n all last time I spoke to u at 1. Of the shows u told us it was a whippet greyhound

A Tribute to the late John Shaw who passed away  last Thursday 6th November 25

      I Am Free
Do not grieve for me now my  friends and family, I am free
I am following the path God Laid for me
I took his hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all
I could not stay another day
To Love, to live, to hunt, to show my treasured Whippets, or play.
I found a peace at close of day.
Be not burdened with the times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow
Perhaps my time seemed all to brief
Do not lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your hearts my friends and share with me
      God wanted me now,
      He set me free.
John, we will love you forever and you will be sadly missed by your loving family and all your Country Sporting Fraternity and in the show ring.
May the Angels above give you the best seat in Heaven and may your gentle soul rest in peace.
      For Country Sports Fraternity
      Margaret Mc Stay
