Mole in the snow...

Dashing through the snow,

With the gunbag on my back,

I had a cunning plan,

For dinner and a snack,

 

If I got to the woods,

Before pigeons got back,

I could educate my gun,

And give the things ack ack,

 

Oh BSA BSA, mine was on top form,

Banging pigeons out of trees like it was the norm,

Oh BSA BSA what a lovely sight,

Pigeons hitting the deck before the dark of night.

 

Crept round through the woods

and a nice one did I see,

Perched up the birch it was,

think it was looking at me

 

Cycled the bolt and

Lifted the scope to my eye,

Squeezed that damned fine trigger,

First one for the pie!

 

Oh BSA BSA, mine was on top form,

Banging pigeons out of trees like it was the norm,

Oh BSA BSA what a lovely sight,

Pigeons hitting the deck before the dark of night.

 

Snow was falling down,

Covering my sound,

As I stalked carefully,

Looking all around,

 

Over by the Laurels,

Up the bare limbed tree,

Sat another pigeon,

Till Crosmans sorted he!

 

Oh BSA BSA, mine was on top form,

Light was fading fast,

and in the thick of trees,

One sat up there all fast asleep,

I really needed he.

 

Carefully taking aim,

I let fly my last shot,

The pigeon caught it in the head,

One more for the pot!
