spoke to burrel once....... for a day ...that was enough ...

im sorry but he spoke absolute bollox....admittedly the two rough coated  hounds  in his motor were beauty's...

but he proceded to tell me his family had kept the line for 6 or 7 hundred year....unless your in the monarchy the average man couldn't trace his own family back 700 year ....never mind a f***ing lurcher...

he also produced  a picture of 6-700 year old tapestry that had a dog on it ....he then told me the dog at his feet had the same shoulder....fucks sake...

im sure you have all seen tapestries....they hardly capture the detail or structure of an animal or anything really

Alfred the Great had same stuff ?

I see a letter plummer wrote to Geoff asking for pics and advice for a book he was writing at the time , one expert asking another ?

Think he called plummer the comic writer .

My pup Mabel is out of Jeff’s line not directly from him though I think he has stopped breeding.I got my bitch from a lad in South Wales who works his dogs regularly and he is more than pleased with them. I’m 100% they would work all quarry prior to the ban!!! My bitch is intelligent, eager to please and taking to obedience and retrieve training very well. It’s far to early to say how she will do hunting but the signs are good so far. She will be one in October when I will start her off gradually. She was a bit spooky and reactive at times but as she gets older and being socialised more she is getting better and more confident. She has a great temperament and IMO is very well put together. As for Jeff I BRIEFLY spoke to him on the phone and his last words to me were “ If theres any help you need I will be here for you for the dogs whole life if you need it”.

There's definitely Norfolk bronze turkey in that shoulder, that's where the tumbling technique originates, if you look closely you can hear the gobble, wednesday was Bernard Matthews turkey burger night aka the midweek belly rester, the other six days being strictly hare flesh boiled in asses milk with a side serving of tumbled turnips and a garnish of tarragon
