not amused 4
My best mate is gay. Been my best pal since we was 5-6. I had no idea untill he told me when we was 18 (6 years ago)! It took a while to get my head round but im cool with it now. Iv met his boyfriends and got on well with them. He does however respect boundrys around me, he wont be 'all over' his partner around me or anyone else, but then again i wouldnt be like that with a woman in public as i find it rude. What i do find hard to take ( wich he seems to have gotten over) is the fear of telling people that hes gay or people finding out and deciding they dont want to know him or treating him differantly. Wich i have taught him that if anyone does that, then there ot worth knowing. Now if any of you lads met him you would have no idea what so ever, hes a machanic ( bloody god one at that) shoots, drinks beer, shouts at the tv watching footy!! Lol hes a mans man but he likes boys. Im not going to lie, i love the bloke hes like my brother, hes been there with me through some dodgy times as well as good! What im trying to say is lads and lasses..... Dont judge a book by its cover and for god sake give em a chance! They dont all want to bum you! Half the time there think your ugly anyway but they would give you the time of day. Cheers guys John
mackem 29,516
This is someone who registered just to post this, first time poster only one post OR its a member who has created a false persona/account and is gradually trying to come out Well said Ratreeper. I am Bisexual and can assure people that being gay isn’t a choose as the easy option would to be completely straight. I have chosen to settle down with a man now together 6years in which time I have moved cities. Therefore I have a new group of friends, of which 90% think I'm straight as there is no reason to tell them otherwise. I don't think most of my friends would have a problem but you sadly get some people that think because you like the same sex you will come on to them??? Honestly some people are that ignorant!!! The truth is that not every gay fancy everyone of the same sex, just like straight people, we tend to have a type. I personally would never come on to someone that I know to be straight but it is true that a small number try to turn people but I assure you it’s a small number! This imagine hasn’t been helped by the media over the years! Louis walsh is openly homo like a lot of media luvvies Louis Walsh (who is probably gay actually).
The Duncan 802
Personally, I have nothing against anyone of any sexuality (paedo's aside of course)- its genetic apart from anything and not a matter of choice. I think the reason a lot of blokes worry about being hit on by gay men is because, as a man, we know just how 'up for it' blokes tend to be. So in a roundabout sense, we judge others by our own standards. That's my theory anyway. My philosophy: if it harms no-one, do as you will.

cocpops 19
I myself give this as MY Opinion. They "the Gay" have missed something in their early years ie a best friend a good father son relationship. An overbearing mother! This shite about it being in the genes is crap, No one is born a homosexual it is a choice, plain and simple. How can any man look at at a naked woman and not feel a stirring in his loins if she is young in her prime etc. Then look at a naked guy and get turned on. Sorry I don`t get it! Sorry I don`t get it! scientifically proven - its genetic. A recessive gene is responsible. It happens in the animal kingdom too - dolphins, dogs, chickens apes etc etc etc. A bit like our very own appendix is a throwback to our ancestry when our kind left the seas and had multiple stomachs; its a throwback to our primeval ancestry, to a time when most of life was a-sexual or hermaphroditic. Just be glad your genetic mix made you heterosexual and made your life simple for you.

Sorry I don`t get it! im pretty sure there are gay people out there, who if could be straight would be.its not choice lol its just your luck when you are born.luckily most people are born straight.im sure there others who deny there gay feelings and get married and have a family.but to say its not in your genes/make up is wrong. ive said before there far worse things than gays lurking our streets. B.P.R 2,798
Dont give a flying fcuk about gays aslong as they do it behind closed doors. My uncle is 6 ft 2 and muscle bound, talks with the deepest voice you can imagine and is gay. Don't care like I said but all this campness is sick. One day they walk fine, talk fine and when they say they are gay that's like a ticket to walk like they have a 50p piece trapped between their arse cheeks and talk like a camp snake! Cold hard truth is: we are put on this planet to reproduce, keep the human race going etc being gay does not conform with that.

leegreen 2,244
A well known member of this site has confided in me via PM that he is gay ,I would never betray him , but I think it,s sad he has to keep it secret , the poor fker even moved to a scandinavian country where they are more tolerant toward his sexuality . Yeah I know a few on hear that have also confided in me and they have moved to Wales
