Yeah there,s loads...and you probably still wont buy one you tight git

i have a STANLEY "ERIN". I burn coal and logs in mine, i also have it piped up to the hot tank and it heats up 12 big radiators, it was a bit pricey at €1800, but worth it's weight in gold.

does Lewis know about this??

our bungalow is heated by 2 log burners and it saves me a fortune.got them both at auctions and they are great.got the big one in the kitchen with a copper kettle on top all the time to make a brew.never turned the heating on in 2 years since we moved in and get all my wood off the estate for free.even cook bacon on top in the winter for my butties.

Rather than a wood burner why not consider a multi fuel burner Artic....you have a greater choice of fuels, heat and length of time your have heat for

They are expensive things to run though if you did not get free wood.

Coal is £240 a ton here (and that is the cheap-medium price) and i use between 2-3 ton per year, wood is free when i can get it but not enough to run the fire on for long, plus you don't get enough heat for this cottage from wood alone. To buy logs is about £3.00 for a small bag, they are usually pine which in my experience is crap for heat.

i was thinking of doing away with my gas fore in the living room and putting in a wood burner.still keeping my gas boiler.however i dont know where the council stand in my area,as far as does it have to be smokeless fuel.

We live in a smokeless zone, wood has to have lowest moisture content you can get, coal is smokeless
