BORDERSCOT 3,816
just see there on the internet after a mate told me about yesterdays paper. they videod themselfs out hare coursing and got 3 infront of the camera, now the police are wanting them. a bit daft putting it on camera. what do yous think http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/news/3521905/Cops-set-to-probe-gypsies-seen-taking-part-in-hare-coursing-on-TV.html I've got no doubt they'll prosecute them. By the very fact it was in TV and folk who don't give a flying f**k about hare coursing - and probably still don't - will have seen it and the police will view that as a high profile enough reason to take it on. Manna from heaven for plod!! It was a good programme and I thought if anything the guys were a wee bit gullible in allowing themselves to be filmed. I do wonder if the BBC will find themselves in the shit too though - they filmed it!!! And the farmer - has he colluded in the illegal act???? Quote Link to post
Blue one 89
I thought coursing was banned in 2005? It says 2002 in that news clip? !! I think fair play to them, they did it for a bit of sport and ate the hares after and not throw them away. By the way, i can not seem to get the ip,player to work over here in Ireland, anyone know how to get round this? I would love to watch it.. Edited April 13, 2011 by Blue one Quote Link to post

To be honest I reckon the average man in the street won't have a problem with the hare coursing sequence that was broadcast the other night. They'll see it for what it was. And there was no negative bullshit propaganda and falsehoods tagged onto it. That'll all be to come if this thing grows legs tho!!! Quote Link to post
lamping-lad 160
imo if your hunting for food and not sport it dont matter what time of the year it is. Quote Link to post
Paid 935
Could be a good thing if this grows legs, get a more normal side out there, the city still believes that the ban was all about hoorays on horse back hunting down charlie with 50 odd dogs. Most don't realise that a man and his running dog filling the pot, which is a romantic thought in many s eyes, is now illegal and carries jail time. Edited April 13, 2011 by Paid Quote Link to post

Guest Leveller
The Sun should choose their headlines a bit better "COPS are set to probe gypsies who were shown taking part in barbaric hare coursing on primetime TV." Quote Link to post
