Aye . . . . . you see a lot of stuff advertised . . . . . .but the words 'Tumbler' / 'Smithfield' are popular pieces of bullshit to label your dogs with. . . . .to reel the idiots in.

I have three Sniffield lurchers does that count?

Thinking of crossing one of them with a Bumbler this year.

i had a tumbler bitch spoke to jeff burrell about her lines and i ended up putting phone down the man is deluded :laugh:

 

the bitch was a mediocre one if that she did no lamp inside out never caught a daytime hare.but her plus side she was a lovely well natured pet for my mother :thumbs:

few lads up here used to have mick douglas stuf that they called smithfeilds were good allround dogs

 

making me feel old mate had one a big strong hairy dog, fast and clever with it, used to run him on cathkin braes and eaglesham moor late 70,s. wish i could get my hands on his like these days

smithfield types (collie x's) maybe mate but cant imagine the lines are still going seeing there are no real smithfeild collie's left and i imagine what ever lurchers held the blood it would have been been bred out by now seeing its been over a century since the smithfields were about mate.
