£1.50 a mole after you have to drive to the location then go back the next day to check traps and then maybe keep going back every day for a week if its a big farm with a lot of acres £1.50 a mole your having a f*****g laugh :wallbash:

you must catch alot of moles, that wouldnt even cover half my fuel on almost any local domestic job and unless you caught a minimum of say 100 moles even on a farm job you must struggle to even break even.

 

The minimum i have ever charged is £10 a head and this was on a small farm about 50 acres i caught about 30 in a week with 3 visits so not to bad.

 

If you catch hundreds a week like on moleys dvd then i can uderstand that price but the type of mole work i do is mostly under say 5 moles a job with the majority just 1 or 2.

right ive been charging £50 thats gets you 15 traps in the ground and £25 each call after that until both partys agree the job is done ,if more than 15 traps are required a second 15 are charged at just £30 ,the bigger the job then i try and come to a deal with the customer thats saves them money ,this has been working fine for me but theres a few doing it for half that i just dont see how they can do it and make any money ?

i dont charge it rolf a friend of mine does.he gets paid fuel costs on top but £1.50 a mole.he does a lot of farms and always got 400 plus traps on the go at anyone time.he had just over 500 moles last week so at £1.50 each he aint doing bad out of it

last yr i was charging £8.50 a head then an hrly rate of £10 checking traps also plus fuel exspenses

The going rate round here on the hill farms is about £2.00 - £2.50 put on the dairy spots its for £4.00 up to £50.00-for first visit then £10.00 per mole after that

I charge by the hour on farms and ive got more work than i could dream of. I tried per £ mole but it only works if your close to home. As soon as you need to travel your on a loser imo.

The price of diesel wear & tear on the vehicle you got to be looking at 30p per mile, then Your insurance cost plus your hourly rate which should never be charged than the minimum wage, or whats the point may as well be cleaning windows

I never give a price over the phone You could be speaking to a competitor,always look at the job first and then work out a price,I have been doing this job for a long time now and no two are the same,thats part of the enjoyment I supose
