  1. totally agree mate, theres alot of big heavy set dogs out there that are claimed to be singlehanded fox dogs, which is bollocks, they can be as game as they come, but before the can kill they must catch!! and the ones that say foxes are piss easy, either havnt ran many or have chased the f****r around a field with there car first then dropped there big heavy set dogs out the widow
  2. any pics fella, im interested, are you registered with pay pal
  3. MARK OWEN???? SHE LOOKS NOWT LIKE MARK OWEN. CERTAINLY DOESNT LOOK 45YRS OLD EITHER, VERY NICE
  4. sounds like you had a good out mate, i like mooching about and letting the dogs find there quarry first, and the fells provide the perfect terrain for this type of works, what i didnt like the sound of was this " getting yer wind back" business, roxy dont spoil this lads post with all that blackwater debating crap, it will only spirral into a slagging match and waste what could be a decent thread
  5. Just out of interest what would you do if somebodys dog took a hold of your dog........... he didnt actually say "his dog had taken a hold of there dog", he just said an altercation had taken place with one of her dogs, which i assumed was a bit of boistreous f*****g about, thus giving me the impression the repeated kicking was a little extreme, but regardless of fault if 2 people are reeatedly kicking my dog i aint gonna stand by and watch
  6. best of luck mate, but if they had been repeatedly kicking my dog i'd be up for ABH
  7. thats a big fine dog you have there dean29, albeit too heavy for me, putting him over a full greyhound is bound to produce a lighter built more racier and probably more versitile hound than himself. would a bull/greyhound over a deerhound/greyhound produce a more typey even litter than a bull/deerhound over a greyound, even though the percentages were in theory the same, ie 1/2grey,1/4bull,1/4deerhound, is it possible some might throw heavy and some throw to the greyhound bitch, be intrested to see the offspring if you ever went ahead with mate, cheers HF.
  8. some poeple can go months before they show that they're pregnant ... and maybe at the time if he knew his missis was pregnant he thought he could coupe ... who are you to judge??? all im saying is he shouldve thought about that at the time, surely his missus wouldve missed 2 periods by then, my lass didnt show till she was at least 3months gone but we knew well before then that she was pregnant,
  9. the first thing i do is when its been asleep and wakes up, the second it wakes up take i it outside and say get a pee, generally they'll want one after a sleep, then they'll generally want a dump after its had something to eat, so again take it outside, then tire the little fecker out so it falls asleep then repeat all over again when it wakes up, i found after 3 days my pup was walking to the door after it had woke up and after it had eaten, but all pups are different, good luck,HF.
  10. Reason for getting rid is got a 6 week old baby and already got another lurcher who iv had for nearly 5 year and with a baby dont have time to put into lou, i think yer a womble, if the bitch is 10month old and yer baby is 6week old, that means yer missus was 2month pregnanrt before you got the pup, did you not think it was a bad idea then, besides ive got 4 running dogs and my missus is expecting in 3/4 weeks and none of mine will be going anywhere coz i will defo make time for the dogs hope she gets a permanant working home and not another womble
  11. i think yer right mate, keating certainly looks different with no hair
  12. nice looking pups them fella, but what made you go for 3/4 saluki 1/4 bull, as aposed to sal/grey x bull/grey,what do you think they will bring to the table that the s/g x b/g wont, genuine question mate,as i said grand pups and atb with your endeavours,HF.
  13. sorry for yer loss fella, always the gooduns, useless feckers always seem to live forever, r.i.p.

  17. the dam was actually 26inch c/g not 27inch, i saw the bitch and she was a fair dog, alot bigger and stronger than the pics indicated in the origional thread, only seen a pic of sire but was led to believe he ws 28inch
  18. this is the litter brother to miss lurcher bitch's bitch, he's obviously also 8months,he's 25inch and 56lbs
  19. thats a belter mate, i could maybe get him to draw a pic of me for my lass while im in my prime,
  20. best dog ive had was a 22inch bitch,3/8 bull 1/8 whippet 1/2 grey, she was also slow at getting going but turn out a belter, mega fast but not reckless like the bitch ive got now, calm and placid but switched on when needed, she also went in hard and fast like a whirlwind but as i said steady with it, sadly lost her at 4yrs old,imo you cant beat a bit of whippet blood in yer bull greys, defo add abit of fire, atb fella
  21. he'll av abit left mate maybes 26.5ats, got a 8month old hear at 24.5 am hoping he'll see 26inch, atb fella, nice pup
  22. as a rule, i start the 1st of september, but this year ive got a new pup ready to start so am gonna start once august gets hear, just a little and often, just to stack the odds slightly in the pups favour, as regards to permission, i like many on here have worked hard to get it and work even harder to keep it, so if the farmer says go, i go,coz if you dont theres always someone else will step in. i prefer not to simply because the ground is like concrete and its far too hot, as a rule if i have to go out in the off season i generally take either the .22 or the .223 depending on what needs done,
