Im sort of going through the same thing with my son. My boys 13 and has said for the last few months that he wants to join the army , he's said special forces but I imagine all young kids think that way . I put a post up a few months ago about a weekend me and him did that was army centred where we went out and did missions which has had a real impact on him. Their was lots of military men running it out of the local gym and up in woodland and I think being around them has stoked his interest . He's only 13 so who knows how long his interest will last but he's a driven kid so it might

Yeah wouldn't be in my top 11 even for man utd . The pace and tackling never bothered me , didn't really need him to do the tackling on the wing and with his accuracy I was just happy to have him slow and stick great crosses in there . Plenty of wingers got pace but fuckall else (daniel james)

Yeah can't argue that . Beckham was really really good in his day , but he would never be in anybody (bar gary nevilles) all time greatest 11 . But their plenty alongside him we were very good but not at the top table . I do agree that the buzz that followed him around wasn't something I was fond of but I could ignore that and enjoy watching him play . He was a top class winger and great from free kicks which saved man utd and England plenty of times.

I once heard someone say you can find good in everything if you look for it . I was in either Borth animalariun or folly farm once , can't remember which (Mrs would remember) me and the Mrs & kids were watching a Rhea and it's baby in their enclosure and for no identifiable reason the rhea started kicking and stamping on its young one until it was dead then just casually walked around . I can see how it might happen , but what i don't get is why so young ( 14/15 ) . I can only imagine what a rockstars life is like but I reckon they almost get to pick the groupies so sleep with . Why not the 19/20 year olds ?

How would you define a celebrity though? Different areas have different local celebrities, I don't know how you could draw a line . What I find odd is that it seems a good portion of celebrities & musicians have had a thing for very young girls, elvis likes young young girls , sure someone from pink ffloyd married a young girl , I think Aerosmith Tyler married a very young girl . We're they like that before stardom? Did stardom make them like that?

What doesn't help in some of the cases is when people have been found to be liars that their is no consequence for them . Benjamin Mendy the man city full back was accused of mulpile things like rape and attampted rape by some women. He was a Man City player on big wages in a team that would eventually go on to break records .
