    Few years back I was stuck for a sire after my 6 yr old bitch lost a litter to my proven old black dog,I tried again next time she came in but unfortunately he was to old (13/14 at the time)there was only two dogs out of him that I had access to,one a full son to a very well bred bitch and his full sister.obviously I used the dog lol- now he self entered at a 12 months and was dug twice that day working like an old pro,used him a few more times and then put him away till the next season.when that came he was flying and didn't put a foot wrong-funny thing was I dug him with a few lads I didn't

    I'm happy with the dogs I have around me,they do all what is asked of them and without to much stick,always a bonus,.I've always been self sufficient and not had to ask others for a mating etc,but as time goes on and now I'm finally meeting genuine lads with the same aims I'm opening up to the idea of using something outside of my gene pool,maybe a good thing,maybe turn them all to shit,who knows-nothing is set in stone.atb dc

    Started season with a few hundred rabbits on our annual trip to Scotland last week of September, probably caught 30 rabbits all in local on lamp,ferretting,season started off slow with the terriers but picked up after xmas, happy with all my dogs proformances this season,my terriers have done well and got a young lurcher pup to bring on through the summer (stock breaking etc)hopefully get him on the lamp next season,some ratting for my Russell pup next few months see how she goes,caught a few good barbel this season and off pike fishing tomorrow on the wye,fingers crossed for a twenty from a

    Having another dog present on couples can't hurt,don't think he ment doubling up it that's what you getting at?I agree with that post of Bryans,foxdropper how many goes would you give a dog to enter your way before you thought it was no good?genuine question?you must have exceptional dogs or maybe a lot of wastage?
