They are ok for chubI always use a decent carp hook,size 10/12 for pellet/bollies,size 6/4 for big lobworms/meat.... I've been experimenting this and last season on the river wye....and been using a size 4 hook on a Ronnie rig,tied on a combi hooklink( 2/3ft of korda Iq fluorocarbon in 12lb with 3" of snakebite soft braid attached next to the hook...big 26/32mm baits,small mesh bags of my pellet mix....everyone else scales down their gear and bait this time of yr...catching tiddlers..the few fish I've caught ,so far this season,have all been good lumps upto 13 lb ..a good fish as the o

I had noticed you haven't cut out for the windows yet...that's a smart move,on your part, because of where you are get the roof on first,so she's all weatherproof ,gutters etc....then worry about the inside,the windows and reveals

Ive been stripping and sanding 60 yrs of old paint off all the door stops upstairs and nitro mors the frames,get them glossed and then paint the 5 new doors I hung on Friday....I only wear shoes/boots if I'm working on site Stav...I go and do everything else barefoot...I can honestly say that I'd never have a pedicure...so long as I got a hole in my arse Get it done,then I can sly off down the river this evening and fish on the flies with my lad

All my ferrets are gone now,I've got rid of all my digging tools,terrier boxes,Garmin GPS,bellman etc...just couldn't bring myself to sell all my ferret nets,long nets,boxes and collars...started collecting when I was 11 years old,saving money from paper rounds and shooting and supplying a few lads local with food for their hawks etc, swapped feathers and hare masks to the old boys who tied the fishing flies...setting wires and selling baggies to the local hunt ...salmon and sewin to the local OAP's...was always a way to make some money,and it all went on the dogs and hunting

Yes mate,for a gentleman that broke his back ,while working as a fireman ..all uPVC cladding ,windows,french doors,rubber roof system,all high end TBF,cost around 12k from memory....you could live in it,had water ,electric, going into it,waste and foul pipes in place if he ever wants a toilet/shower in there...he just uses it to chill out,with a brew and have a chuff with his mates,as he's obviously not that mobile

I always thought the term lurcher ment it should be an all-rounder,take fur and feathers...a good lurcher is every calibre of bullet ..you should ever need not just a dog that specialises in the one quarry type

I've seen whippets steam into them,and try and stretch em lol...when we was kids,my mate had a Welsh springer spaniel,went everywhere with us..he drew more than most bull X's could ...I used to catch em nightly with a little 23" bitch,that looked like she was only good for rabbits...she would grab em ,give them a shake,hold them and I would finish them off quicktime with my buck knife....I've been out with loads of lads over the yrs...I've walked up and taken the quarry off their dogs and delt with it myself, because of all the f***ing about and noise bringing it on top ,same around a hole..

My bitch same way bred,been knocking stuff over since 8 months of age...she can still shift for her size...and I will guarantee..any Saluki type that lifts a lip or looks at it the wrong way...will be in pieces in all of 30 seconds flat....dog or bitch...only thing stopping her when she's on one...would be one behind its ears
