    I used to use a Springer who was brilliant bushing dog and marker but now use a Plummer which is just as good it's personal choice

    me and nephew went out with the ferrets and nets caught 13 rabbits mostly in the long nets not a lot for some people off here but a lot for us skin all the rabbits and have 10 for sale and sell them to the butcher and so get the petrol money back and a bit for the ferret fund happy days

    Mark3 are better near electric cables or ground with other interference you can turn down the sound mark 1 are not repairable by debon

    most people use jills as they are smaller and lighter than hobs but hobs work as good as jills and hobs will sometimes bolt the stubborn rabbits which are not bolting its just which you prefer

    two collers close together give a double click and so if both ferrets are on the same rabbit you get the double click if not you get the normal click for each coller in different parts of the warren where ever the ferrets are we use 3 collers no problem

    ferrets have a good nose and dont like strong smells like perfume or aftershave best not to put any on when handling ferrets and they do smell fear and dont like quick movement they tend to bite first and think later

    mark 3 for me only thing is the collers tend to come off lost 3 like that at £70 a coller not cheap

    it sound like distemper very lethel in young ferrets and older ones as well discenfect the cages as its very easy to spread

    i rehome ferrets and sell adults for £10 to £20 the odd time i have bred sold them for £15 silvers and £!0 for polecats if you are not willing to pay this ammount for an animal which could keep you in rabbits for the next 10 years then you wont get one some sell the really dark polecats which do well at shows for £50 ferrets are under valued and should cost a lot more for good working stock

    shoot them ferrets will kill rats but any bite needs antiseptic and cleaned well just not worth the risk

    once had a cat bolt from 4 ferrets and once bolted a grey squirrel rats and stoats every year

    wouldnt work a ferret without a locater a lost ferret is trouble easiest way to loose your permission
