  1. Nice one random. Hope the squirrel was tasty!
  2. £280 for S/H lgv challenger (synthetic stock) on BAR. I'd say it's decent money for a private S/H sale, probably about right. £200 would be a right bargain.
  3. You wouldn't catch me buying one but if someone offered me a go on one I'd jump at the chance. Bet it makes you feel like a mouse loading and cocking it
  4. Boardcit catty's are nice but there's nowt like a proper natural fork
  5. Very nice that! Just to throw it in the mix I have a nice yew fork I could finish in a few days. £20 banded and posted.
  6. Nice one jimmy. Pellet test results always welcome especially on the Prosport. Looks like either will do a grand job
  7. Belter that! Nothing like a big perch. If you don't mind me asking, how did you catch it?
  8. A complete beginner has plenty of pit falls to come up against that springers tend to help with- it's very hard to double load a pellet, no need for charging or chance of getting dirt stuck in the charging port, no frustration of learning a pcp's powercurve or getting a pellet stuck in the barrel when the pressure is low, just plug and play single shot.
  9. Some serious joy and pain in springer shooting. Bit like a good woman- keeps you keen and on your toes. I would second the advice to keep atleast one- sell a couple and raise enough funds for a pcp, save your fave.
  10. BSA advanced 1-4x24 scope, as new great condition perfect glass. illuminated ret, with illuminated red dot in the centre. 30mm tube, comes with 30mm Nikko mounts, lens cloth and soft rubber bikini style lens covers £60 collected or posted at extra cost
  11. Tasco 4x32 scope for sale. The reticle is a fine 30/30, which I tried to take a pic of but failed miserably! The glass is crystal clear with no marks or scratches. The tube has some light scratches, but optically spot on. I'm after £20 picked up or postage at extra cost
  12. This is true! Back in my cage now I can't deal with a vs debate, accuracy is what matters above all and it doesn't matter how you achieve that, practice makes perfect and no wonder pellet or all singing and dancing gun will fix your technique. So anyway.177 or .22 lol
  13. Check your comp rules before settling on a rest
  14. they will have a lot better BC than a similar weight 22 so will arrive with more power and speed .if they are accurate and leave the gun at 11.5 ft lbs then they will be similar to a 22 but betterI'd like to think this were true but I think all you will find with these is that they will over penetrate (dumping little energy on the target) as they don't have the same surface area. Perhaps a heavy hollow point such as h&n extremes would do what you say. They should be good in wind though I never find the OVER penetration of 177 a problem I like it .The problem I find is the UNDER penet
  15. Think this will come down to weight. Imp is lighter, but .22 only. I've shot an untuned 99 and they are very handy. The Walther is heavier but available in.177 cal, smooth as you like, very accurate, out of the box too so no waiting time. I like the positive locking on the break barrel too
  16. Generous forum this one. Hope it goes to a good home

  18. Yep probably a .177 with the same hitting power as .22 But probably a very similar trajectory so what you have gained you have also lost if that makes sense They might be a bit long for some mags too
  19. Good post, always wanted to see results from an FAC springer! The group looks good, how big a coin size would you say it is? If I ever have more money than sense I would love to get one of the big Diana springers.
