  1. Only an idiot would predict next season's relegation teams when you don't know who is making up the last place and what the teams transfers are. Only an idiot would be so confident.

You mean like that famous international manager Dick Advocaat? Won loads with top teams. But with shite..............

Who was the previous manager of Sunderland before Fat Sam? Dick Advocaat I think. So who was to blame for their position when Fat Sam took over? Dick Advocaat I think. Unless you know better of course.

As before. Benitez had 12 games. Fat Sam had five months before those last 12 games. In those last 12 game Newcastle won the same number of games as Sunderland. What part of that don't you understand? Benitez couldn't buy or sell. He was stuck with what McClaren had left him with. Not the same deal.

Well Cyclops. Try to fathom out who bought Shelvey and Towsend along with all the other players? Was it Benitez? Couldn't have been. McClaren was still in charge in January. Game set and match I think.

Yes. But he had five months longer than Rafel. To sell the shite that Dick bought. And to buy some more shite. Rafel never had chance to buy or sell players. He was stuck with what he had got left by McClaren. Take a look at your form since November before you get carried away. Only 8 wins in 27 games. Hardly top 6 form is it?

You are a total plank. Fat Sam had five months start on Benitez. By the time the Spaniard arrived in Newcastle the team were already doomed. Fat Sam had time to buy before the transfer window. Benitez was stuck with what they already had. And he still managed as many wins as Sunderland got in his 12 games. Fact!
  8. What I think is that anyone who really knows his football wouldn't make any predictions until after the teams have done most of not all of their buying and selling.
  9. "Just obviously more than certain posters"? Obviously? I'll tell you what is obvious. You know feck all about anything to do with football. You are so blinkered that you cherry pick whatever fact suits your purpose - ancient history of success, gate numbers, etc or simply make it up to suit - the last six games form would have you placed third for example. Its bullshit! Fact; 205/16 placing 17th Fact: 2014/15 placing 16th Fact: 20143/14 placing 14th Fact: 2012/13 placing 17th You can bullshit all you like. But recent stat's show that Sunderland are in the relegation zone virtu

  11. He's even predicted the bottom three of next year's PL without knowing who's filling the third promotion spot. What a legend
  12. So where do you put yourself then Max. Given that you think that know more than the rest of us?
  13. That's assuming that they manage to stay up this time
  14. Aye. Everyone knows where Sunderland is. One place up from relegation. Is it right the new Roker anthem is The Great Escape?
  15. You do talk some schite! Huddersfield Town first club to win the top division three times in a row. Where are they now? Aston Villa, one of the countries most successful teams. Relegated. Nottingham Forest. Only club to win the European Cup back to back. What good is that now? You are one of those fans who can only see positives in your own team and can only see negatives in other teams. And you expect others to share your blinkered vision. I'm no West Ham supporter. Never have been. But I'll tell you what they have that Sunderland haven't - a rosy future. You dust off your black and white
  16. Looking back at my notes for the Chasse exam in 2009 the laws must have changed considerably. Back then there was nothing you could shoot with an air rifle or rim fire. Not even bunnies. I'm still waiting for the official clarification, but the Maire is aware that my Dutch neighbour is using my Pro Sport to shoot rats and isn't concerned. So given that the Mairie is between my garden and my neighbour's garden ans then it is open fields for several kilometres I don't anticipate any problems from him when I'm culling the corvids next spring.
  17. That made me smile. The land around our farm has a hunt on it for boar and deer. We don't allow them on our land as we have our own animals, and we also like having the wildlife here. They sent their dogs through once and we didn't see anything wild for 6 months. In the 9 years we've lived here we've never seen them kill a wild animal, but they have managed to shoot two of their own dogs. I used to rent a cottage on a 300 hectare farm. The chasse would put up small bird boxes with a captive partridge in it. Every Tuesday or Wednesday they would release 12 partridge near to the call bird a
  18. I am a registered pest controller in France, licenced to kill moles, rats, mice and the like. To be honest I've never looked into the legalities of shooting rats. I had just took it as read that you cannot shoot anything with an air rifle, and as far as I can make out a .22 rim fire. I had intended to join a Chasse and had studied for the exam, but after coming here and seeing how the locals hunt I decided not to bother. It would be interesting to get a definitive answer to whether rats do fall outside the legislation so I'm going to e-mail the ONCFS with that specific question. I've e-mai
  19. Interesting. I personally think that Rooney was a great player, but has been past his best for at least the last two seasons. He is, in my opinion the biggest challenge to any new manager as he is reportedly on a £250K a week wage and contracted to be club captain for the next 2 to 3 years. Over the last two years he hasn't really warranted his place in the side and that could prove caustic for the new manager. Players will get jealous of his earnings when he's not pulling his weight. That could cause dissent. For me the first thing a new manager should do is offload Rooney to the States e
  20. Sunderland appointed Allardyce mid season and he had no option than to play a style fitting the players that he already had. Come back in a couple of seasons when he's had time to buy players and shape the side.

  22. Brought a tear to my eye that did.
  23. The FA Cup means nothing now. And as for the PL; it is the way they played that is unacceptable to their fans. Boring, possession oriented play with few chances created isn't the way that the fans expect their team to play. Not just ManU, The Hammers were dragged from their lowly position to a higher league placing by Big Sam. But his way wasn't what the fans demanded from their teams. It isn't always about points or cup wins. Entertainment comes into it too. After all, football isn't chess
  24. But if you do get caught then it is a pretty hefty penalty. So it would be nice if we could establish the correct position. And for those who look to websites like this for their information, we shouldn't be leading them astray.
