I'm probably not grasping it tbh BH, i know next to nothing about genetics mate, but iv'e always thought the Celts had a big influence on European bloodlines, if its identifiable in the European blood that supposedly populated the UK, why is it not identifiable now in us? But reading the article Beast posted it looks like the Celtic influence is a myth anyway, seems more cultural than genetic? Funny how this other study found plenty of Scandinavian influence and the other one hardly any? Like the old saying goes "you can prove/disprove anything with statistics"

I like a dog that don't go mad at holes when marking, best one i ever had just got close and had a sniff, then backed out staring at the hole and her tail bent over sideways, never false marked or disturbed the set going mad at it, mongrel terrier. Bit suspicious of the results tbh, only 2000 test subjects? You could probably start again with another 2000 and get different results? Another thing is the Celt connection The Celts originated in the Italian Alps, then spread across most of Europe, surely the DNA would already be mixed in with the Angles/Saxon DNA? Looks like an attempt to drive wedges in to me?

Its never been any different, people didn't suddenly start abusing kids recently, its gone on down the ages, a quick watch of "sex and the Empire" says it all. The real difference now is freedom of information, the internet has changed everything now, before that the people who are in control could sensor everything, TV, newspapers, books, and they still can, like tony blair slapping a "D" notice on the Dunblane fiasco, but they can't control the internet despite trying. I think this lot is just the start tbh, i wouldn't take any bets on where it will end? But they wont get all involved, so

Couldn't agree more. Sexual abuse isn't a new thing it's just suddenly slapping us in the face because of 24/7, 365 new coverage. This is indeed the information age and the old school coverups can't happen any more. The internet never forgets. It only takes a split second to leak something and it can't be controlled. That's a powerful incentive for regulatory bodies to try and put the blocks on the internet wouldn't you agree? Totally agree Chris, you only have to look at the Assange case and its dubious allegations (imo) to realise how far they will go to try and censor the net.
