  1. These fruit cakes don't even want you to keep pets, they'll never stop. If they ever got their own way and we couldn't keep pets, they'd probably try and get growing plants banned, only plants that were grown for pleasure, just to look at like......it's got to be unethical just to grow plants to cut and put in a vase to brighten a room up

  3. He won't, because he didn't turn up ! is he above the law, was a warent issued, "Is he above the law" YES...............warrant, no chance..................they'll be no real justice here lads
  4. I think you may find its more a case of they can`t cook anything that does not come out of a packet with the instructions written on the side, basic cooking skills are vanishing no matter how many programs there are on telly about food, needs sticking back in the school curriculum And what dishes would the kids learn to cook in school mate? All halal no doubt, every British dish would offend somebody, somehow

  6. If you're having a solid back wall (5m x 1.9m) and 2 solid end walls 2.8m x 1.9m) its 200 blocks, if you're having mesh fronts with a pillar/small dividing wall you need a few more, best guess is about 250 blocks in all, a ton of sand won't be far off enough, 5/6 cement should be enough.
  7. they do steal jobs from British workers,as well as bring down the price of labour i.e your wages. it's nothing personal, but them being here is detrimental to the vast majority of us. Not the VAST MAJORITY at all. Unfortunately they are a detriment to low skilled workers or labourers , or semi skilled manual workers like those in the building trade. I assume you are in this field ? Obviously they will take jobs off British workers , problem is alot complain they can't get British workers who'll do a proper days graft, or who won't rip them off or do a shite job. Many people wh
  8. This wants some explaining................first pic http://ancientmystery.info/Baalbek.htm The smaller base stones, plinth course and large stones are all weathered badly, the smaller walls built on top are hardly touched, same stone laid at the same time, i don't think so even if it took 300 years to build it it no where near explains this? And as the top wall is Roman, and roughly 2000 years old, and hardly weathered, being the same stone in the same exposed position, why has the base weathered to a much greater degree? Conclusion, the base predates the Romans by a very l
  9. There's no proof the Romans built the base structure Mush.....The Romans kept records, they can't attribute the building to any emperor, which is strange because such a building would be a big feather in anybodys cap? The Romans came along and built a load of random shite on top of a very well constructed base, the two just don't match at all...............have a look at the 4th pic down here https://gilgamesh42.wordpress.com/2013/04/25/moving-the-stones-of-baalbek-the-wonders-of-roman-engineering/ Smaller blocks are used in the base, then a plinth course, then the big stones on top
  10. Coming from a bloke who supports the royals
  11. Here you go mate, http://www.beesleyandfildes.co.uk/dense-blocks/ You want the 100mm concrete dense blocks, 84p each..........bulk bag of sand from the same place £30.... cement £4.20 per 25kg bag..............can't say how much you need without size/height of run.
  12. that proper packing I nearly live on game stew in winter mate, and the meats cheap
  13. I stand corrected there mate, they do depict giants then.........never really noticed?..............but the Egyptians royalty were looked on as gods, probably depicted larger than normal to set them apart, it's not hard evidence really?
  14. Rabbit and pheasant, chunky veg, good dose of hendersons relish, crusty white and butter............
  15. That's made me hungry
  16. You southerners will eat anything Rather have a plate full of this http://www.metcalfes-butchers.co.uk/yorkshire-black-pudding/ Blood, fat, and spices...............proper snap
  17. Sorry Walshie...........i did mention it, relevant to the counter argument of Francie's explanation of the pyramids though Even if they could pull 4 hundredweight, that's still 6,000 people, we haven't found any steel rope, so i'm guessing they used hemp/jute rope, you couldn't get enough rope on the block to get 6,000 people on it, and it would have to be 3' thick or it would snap, the rope would weight tons on it's own, so add more bodies to take that into account, so add more rope for extra bodies...........it don't add up mate? I'm not stabbing in the dark here as such
  18. It's interesting stuff mate, no doubt about it. I've read a fair bit about the American mound builders, seems to be plenty of genuine reports in newspapers from the 1800's, hard to fake those i would think? But only 9' so not that much bigger than us if it's true? I don't think it explains Baalbeck, and the pyramids don't have any depictions of "giants" only normal sized people, and the small towns that housed the workers who built the pyramids are built on a scale that fits normal sized people.............You can't use the pyramids to back the bible up..........we know to much about the
  19. try and read the "Contest to kill 100 people using a sword" mukai and noka i think it was, their scores were published weekly in a tokyo newspaper. The incident that stands out to me is the japs taking 250 British soldiers onto a beach and beheading them, even when they knew they'd lost, lads that could have gone home to their families and lived their lives out............sheer evil b*****ds.
  20. I agree that nuclear should never have been released on the world Wilf, it's like giving a 5 year old a loaded 12g to play with..............and i think the Yanks wanted to demonstrate it's power to the world as much as anything else, when have they ever worried about losing men in conventional conflicts? But if anybody asked for it the japs did imo.
  21. No sympathy at all for the japs........not after what they did to our soldiers, cannibalism, torture, cold blooded murder when they had the power to do it, how many of these "innocent civilians" brought up sons who carried out these atrocities? Live by the sword, die by the sword.
  22. I don't think you're grasping how heavy 1200 tons is Mush.........."lift one end" with what?.......what could be strong enough to use as a lever? There's a lot of difference between the lintols at Stone Henge that were lifted like that, and the stones at Baalbeck.......And even if you could get a lever strong enough, how do you get enough manpower on it? I think primitive men did it, but no idea how they did it?
  23. I don't underestimate how ingenious or how intelligent the ancient people were at all, i think we've lost as much as we've gained in some ways, but humping a 1200 ton single piece of stone 20ft up a wall at Baalbeck takes some figuring out? If an average man could pull 1 hundred weight, that's 24,000 people needed, how do you get enough rope round it to get 24,000 people on it at once ? You could knock a few people off if you used oxen, leverage and rollers or slides/sledges, but not that many............The rope/ropes are a problem in themselves, primitive rope would be so thick to t
  24. I had a 406 hdi, and it stopped with 286000 miles on it, I bought this one to put me on, never expected it to last, i've abused it a bit, never done an oil change, or even the fuel filter, i've never even washed it in 4 years, it just keeps going, just failed the MOT because a front coil springs snapped, but that's it... can't complain at all mate
  25. I've got an old Berlingo 1.9.........i paid £450 for it 4 years ago, 2000 plate Starts first time no matter how cold, runs like a top, not bad on diesel, and only an odd spot of rust, you need arms like a gorilla parking it with no power steering, but that's the only thing i don't like about it, maybe a bit of a one off by the sound of it though?
