    They are both dropped stealth and can be clearly felt and seen. I've had dogs over 20yrs and never come across a dog like him to be honest.

    I'm after some info if you have had a similar experience with a dog before please. Right my cousin has gone away for 5 days abroad and we have put his 6month old wippet dog up for him jet. Right since the dag was maybe 14 week old that's all it wants to do is try and mate with a bitch but it's never come across a bitch in season but that doesn't matter to the dog it's constantly trying to mate. Wether it's the back of the bitch or even it's head. After the bitch walks of it's basically pumping air for about 6 to 8 seconds. It's as if that's all is in its head constantly when around bitc

    Though i know what you mean, in the field there are too many variables BUT as said, a lurcher should ONLY be judged on what it catches and it dont matter how feckin fit you think your dog is, if it catches feck all, it's shite...! I suppose it's the same with gun dogs. sheep dogs etc bosun if it does the job that's good enough. I just find it strange that folk say it's 100% fit when it can't possible so.

    I agree with all posts you recon boys but I personally think it's very grey area. I've known boys with staffs and pits who condition the dogs to the peak ready for work. But the actual knowledge as when an animal is in top peak condition is something else. Maybe the same goes for race horses etc. Plus I think we can't keep a dog in 100% fitness for 5/6 months as the toll taken on the dogs body will have a negative effect.

    I've read loads of threads on here over the years and it all ways pops up about 100% fit. How can any dog man know if a dog is 100% fit or not. Boxers and top athletes are nearly there but U.S. Mere dog men how can we know if a dog is at its total peak. A boxer will train for 6/8 weeks to be in prime condition but can't keep that prime as it takes to much out of the body. So is it a sentence that we all spit out or not.
