  1. Yes Tiercel the positioning does seem to be vital. Place them at the side of the rabbit runs in the open with the doors facing away from their burrows so they have the open door when they are returning toward their burrows
  2. You check the cages each day just refresh the carrots
  3. Carrots cut length ways like fingers not discs
  4. Your about 2 months away yet..... the winter frosts break down the soil and this fills the existing runs so they need a good clean out. Also if its dry the worms go deeper so the moles either have to dig a little deeper or extend their feeding runs.
  5. Its a good point we often find people think we either just do moles or we just do pest control in a general form. Make sure you put a small flier in with their invoice that has a list of things you deal with otherwise when they get a wasp nest why would they call a mole catcher....
  6. Make hay while the sun shines. I have just took delivery of another 100 traps from Flatpack making 600 we have now. At this rate Flatpack will be getting another order in by the end of the week.
  7. Is it just us or is everyone got moles at present?? The phone seems to ring off the hook with people asking for us to come and catch them.
  8. Ficam W is fine once dry as others have said. As an insecticide it takes some beating especially on cost per treatment.
  9. Get them out of the box and into the ground. There are no moles in that cardboard box. They will catch the same day..... IF you set them in the right place.
  10. i dont see why that would be a problem Me neither as your not using the logo
  11. No the BPCA are really tight on the use of the logo. You must be a member. Not even probationary members are allowed to use the logo. You can however state that you were trained by the BPCA being qualified is normally bodies like RSPH (Royal Society for Public Health) in conjunction with the BPCA.
  12. I have been using the Stainless ones for about 3 years and think they are better than the galvanised ones. We have about 350 of them at present and around 100 galvanised ones and each time i pick a galvanised one out of the bag i return it looking for a stainless one.
  13. an old link http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/337921-mole-trapping-prices/
  14. Two each day this week, not complaining though
  15. Yes that does seem to be a favourite. I did one Friday where a builder thought he could just seal them in with expanding foam. They came out in a bathroom around a small window where the seal was dodgy. Out with the fogging machine, so it was an expensive nest. Slowing down a little now around Oxfordshire. I have seem a few nests with their queens starting to emerge. I will be glad of a break prior to rats, mice and Cluster Flies

  17. Sounds like you have a lot of wasps in the area as we are high up on Google but still not getting the calls like we should this time of year....
  18. I am sure i saw one fly by the other day. I was chasing it thinking of the money attached to its nest. Never found it though. I am sure its the only wasp in the whole County
  19. Still not much happening in Oxfordshire...
  20. We are down on this time last year by a huge number please sun start to shine and get people outside finding them for us.........
  21. Gloria every time and buy them from GPS Sprayers in Kidlington as they are the largest importer in the UK for these. www.gps-sprayers.co.uk They service and sell all of the parts should you ever need any.
  22. Great Photo Moxy showing the eggs in there
  23. Hi Shropshire Mole Yes we have treated a few in the last 10 days or so all nests about the size of tennis balls in loft spaces found by plumbers and electricians. Not too many flying around just yet though here in Oxford
  24. The Queen legless.... Well it is a big birthday
  25. 96 moles in 3 days..... great job. I have been in the industry for 35 years as a professional pest controller, my speciality is moles. I have never had a job where i caught even half that amount so yes jobs like that are few and far between to say the least.
