Mole Trapping Prices
Dirksdonuts replied to shropshire mole's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
£10 per mole wouldn't get me out of my own garden by the time you pay for the traps, time, travel, public liability insurance (hope you have it?) advertising costs, accountants fees, running costs for your van(car or Tractor) tax on income etc etc etc charge a realistic price never be the guy who is so busy that he does,nt have time to live life. We all need time to relax charge a bit more and work less -

-
Avoid the T-Rex ones they are more money and don't spring shit with the force that the Snap E Trap does. I can provide the box and the Trap for £12 plus delivery
-
Big Snap-E Rat Trap which fits inside a locked box baited with peanut butter or covered in a little cod liver oil.Pm me if you can't find them on the internet. You have to buy the box and the traps separately

Best Bait For Squirrels?
Dirksdonuts replied to Dave1812's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
To stop the hedgehogs push two hazel sticks in to narrow the gap, this will also stop larger birds entering. The squirrels just push through if its too narrow -
What No Cimetrol, Now What.
Dirksdonuts replied to Rowan's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
I still advise no hoovering for as long as possible but a minimum of two weeks if they don't listen and the treatment fails then I wouldn't be the one who gets the blame. Ficam W is still a great product but as we have IGR we should be looking to use them to avoid call backs. There have been days when I have looked in the van and found that I done have any left and still carried out the treatment with great success. There is no right and no wrong but IGR's are a real bonus at times. -
What No Cimetrol, Now What.
Dirksdonuts replied to Rowan's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
Yes I am sure that once its been hoovered a few times then its gone And yes the original Nylar is off the market but it will be replaced I am told but when is another thing -
Yes don't forget to add the golf ball or a round pebble from a beach if you live near one that is

What No Cimetrol, Now What.
Dirksdonuts replied to Rowan's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
Hi Bry What about the eggs does Cimetrol kill eggs.......No is the answer so after 14 days when they hatch the process starts all over again. It is residual for up to 3-6 months and disturbs the breeding cycle preventing them from producing over and over again. Flea eggs and flea larvae that are exposed to an IGR will never develop into the adult jumping, biting and (most important!) reproducing fleas. -

Best Bait For Squirrels?
Dirksdonuts replied to Dave1812's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
Just use dried maize it works a treat and they see it from a long way off. I buy it from the local countrywide farmers store in 10kg bags for about £8 -
It must be doing your head in knowing that the council I work for charges £36,at the end of the day they are making something or they wouldn't be doing it now would they.councils used to be free but not now even if it's there property you have to pay now.at the end of the day they could charge £1 I'm not bothered as long as they are still paying my wages. Subsidised by the Property tax that we all pay
-
There is no mention of Tax anywhere in that
-
Something is very wrong if you can only make £50 profit after 10 jobs The prices were used as an example not facts
-
Mr Muddy Very true.......... Work out all of the costs involved from start to finish including fuel insurances etc etc and see how much profit there is in a £50 nest. Its not ripping people off its providing a service. "R" prices rip people off at £302 per nest. If people don't want to pay your prices then they will book you if not they will ring elsewhere. One customer today quoted " the LA charge less then you" I had to reply yes and we will be with you later today with a half hour time slot. They will be with you one day very soon and you may be lucky if you get an "Am" or "PM"
-
I think its great they don't want them..........Send them all my way please £ plus Vat better than £302 inc Vat surely
-
Oxford really kicking off at present about 6-10 calls a day for the last few weeks Happy days
-
Wow I went to a customer today who told me to check out the Big "R" website and see how much he was quoted for a wasp nest. £282 after the £20 online discount so that would of made it £302............. Try the website by putting in your postcode etc and see what it brings up Absolutely ridicoulous

If anyone is looking to buy one I have one thats been used once £200 delivered but no DR5 with it. The kit has a carry bag and zips up to protect it whilst travelling. -
Killgerm every time because they back you up with a team of very knowledgable people in all departments and go the extra mile to keep you up and running. All in all yes they are not the cheapest but they are not too far off the prices.
