    I've not shot .177 springers for a little while, escpially not one I've owned for some time. A little love affair is beginning but we're not quite there. Yet. I've been shooting the last 3 hours in the garage, only 18-20 yards, if that, and all is going well I suppose. What I have noticed though is what a shear and utter rifle my 97 is. Having spent so long shooting this damn 98 and the smaller pellet, I thought I'd finish off with a few targets and my .22 and I can feel such a noticeable difference of 'sweetness' between the two calibers. My 97 is thoroughly bedded in, sure, but my god.

    Nice looking guns those old excalibers. Real stalker appearance. I'd probably look at 370-400'ish. Depending on the rifle condition of course. Thing with that is that there more of a want than a need, if you know what I mean. They're not the buzz word anymore so you'll be looking for a collector of the sorts to buy that, or someone with a keen eye for a handsome sodding rifle.

    Why do we stick with airguns? Often, airguns, mainly air rifles in my own case, are seen as a 'stepping stone' to other calibres and styles of shooting... Jess just asked me why I've not moved on from typical airguns, and I couldn't give her a valid reason. I could, get my ticket, I could get a shotty, maybe a 17hmr or rimmehhh. But I don't. I choose to stick with my poncy little airguns. I know some of you have all types of rifles/firearms, but it would seem most always go back to the simple old air rifle. I thought I'd ask you lot.

    I'd second blatters fist post. I have 2-7x32 airmaxs on 3 of mine shooters. I can't say a bad word about them really. Apart from me new 98, I'm gonna try the panorama 2-7. Don't know why, peaked through one at the show and it seemed well. No AO, but it looked paralaxed enough to get things within 20 yards.

    Well. Funnily enough v'man. Ive made a quick video of it. Ill get some images aswell. Be mint if they send me a new rifle Another one. Think those pellets arrived today, but as you didnt put enough for postage on, I got a card saying Ive got to pay to have them re delivered. Get.

    It was seriously shit if Im honest CC. Ive just had it in bits today and in all honesty, its the worst Ive seen in a HW. Ive only done maybe 6-7 in teh past, but it was awful. Almost 'do I take this back?' Thoughts started appearing. It was more on the dry side. Plenty of shit around the trigger unit, bone dry on the spring and guide. Piston seal looked like it had spent time in the MD of HC's poo ring. The one thing that really cheesed me off and I cant explain it, other than the above, but next time its apart, Ill show you a picture. You wont believe it. Dont know how it passed QC. Seri

    They've always been sound from the reviews. It's important to understand that defects with any rifle are from the importer, not the supplier. Granted, things may go wrong and the supplier should check for such, but mechanical issues will arise over time and such problems aren't the fault shops/businesses like the airgun centre. Now, I don't give two fucks about the airgun centre, not one, but it's hard for any shop to predict if an item may fail. Just my two pence.

    Had to pass three inspection before it was sold, factory, inporter and retailer. It passed all three, how many more passed and is it how things will be from now on. £1000+ or £400+ i would expect the same quality control. All the best Point taken. And agreed. Sorry I misunderstood.
