    I got caught in similar circumstances but I was on a public footpath near my vehicle. Gamekeeper collared me till police got there, they took my lamp off me and interviewed me but dropped the charges a day before my court date. Lasted 6 months but I got my lamp back. Point of story is admit feck all Ps they told me I could have my lamp back the day after and I wouldn't be charged with anything?? They 'lied' the gamekeeper has no right to detain you for at the time only guilty of tresspass which is a civil offence. If he made you stay against your will that's borderline kidnap.

    I shoot better in an opportunist situation. If I think about the shot il miss. Can honestly say if I put a beer can down at 15 yards il hit it 1st or 2nd shot but could miss 10 after? I think on it to much.

    Marbles are out of the question with the price of steel I pay about 3.50 for 100 10mm which obviously are smaller but weigh twice as much ish. Also even though not to likely they can shatter and I for one don't want to be picking glass out of me dinner!

    some tossers want instant results. Can't be called lurcher men . At that age they should have gave him a chance. You seem to like him and he must like you cos he keeps getting sent back and then behaves. I really do think some dogs choose there master and there clever buggers. Maybe keep him eh?

    were I live there's thousands this time of year. I'm in Bedfordshire. I don't have the arm or heart to stop my saluki I just alternate lead walking when hot or really hard ground is under us. I do look for softer ground to run him tough and luckily there huge grass field behind me full of rabbits so just let him to it. Needless to say can't wait till the back end when there's less cover.

    I use 5.7 mm yellow tubing looped to 12 " with 10 mm steel ammo.

Lawyer class pmslthere a big deference when a copper sayWe have your DNA from the scene (lie) To We have DNA evidence believed to be yours (sneaky) Lying is a skill there very good at. A twist of words is as good as a lie. In all my life I've never hear a debate over police honesty. There liars always have been and if caught lying it was an honest mistake! And them b*****ds love nothing better than running a man down with there German nazi hounds ! remember plebgate pleb gate??

    that was a very enjoyable read. i love the out doors and watching my dog run but i value what he run after. anti hunters think were hate full killers but its not true. when some thing gets away i dont feel failure for the dog i am pleased that the said animal escaped as doing so deserved to as nature says only the strong survive and will preduce goods quarry next year. a shooter could easily shoot a very strong healthy hare and leave the bad bred on near it alone?? wtf running dogs is natural and benifits nature if done with good intent. gonna print your post for a few antis i know !

    Yes they can, and yes they do.... Plod will say regular they have witnesses in INITIAL interview there are way for police to manipulate the law the same as any one and they do. There sneaky liars wasteing time money and effort when some ones granny's getting beaten for a fiver! You can't run a hare but the government lets up boil lobsters alive force feed geese and keeps hens in cages. It's daft. Suggestion lets leave the dogs at home and forget the walk and go town get pissed up and batter some one at least then we only get a caution rather than a driving ban the dogs murdered the car dest

    Not illegal for a dog to run a hare. Did you get seen slipping him cos that what they gotta prove unless you got found with the hare?

    Authorities presume people go out with more than one dog an betting ie an event. But if on foot paths on on own shouldn't have a problem. Usually it's combo of witness and video footage but getting found with a dead hare your bang to rights. It's worth a token hola at the dog as apperntly being seen to try and call the dog of stands in court. If I went out I'd be on me own with one dog sticking to foot paths and being descreet. Personally people see one man and his dog a lot differently to 3 dogs and six or seven blokes.

    I don't think a year old dog would give away it full potential and some folk are impatient and expect to much to soon. Mines two and act like a pup but showing great prey drive. I got him blind and maybe lucky by he's me best mate and is learning every day. Some dogs are a reflection of there owner and want to please. If the dogs just for mooching and nowt to serious maybe give the dog a go you never know eh ! Here's my gamble lol

    Out today on a cow field by the river. The ground always floods so stays soft in winter. Never any hares but saw munty today and my dog erm got away after it. 50/50 wether it went in the brush or into the open. Bingo laddie head it into the field but lost it at some barb wire fencing as called him of. I hate barb wire! Got 4 or 5 good turns and got a taste of its ass. That's the closest he's got to one so I think he did good for 2. That's a stunning pup mate. Here's my mutt
