  1. Ridgline or rocky are a fairly good pair of brands I havnt had any complaints with either personally.
  2. Are you serious about putting heating on for dogs? What's wrong with a draft free kennel and some hay or straw bedding? No wonder dogs are so soft. I keep my dogs out all year round and they never took any harm. I had a litter of pups born last January in -10 and they were totally fine.
  3. True that. Couldn't have said it better myself mate.
  4. I use my springer x rottweiller bitch and to border terriers very vocal pair and a bull x grey and a collie x grey for runners

  6. Yeah year in year out. Day in day out more like mate.
  7. Yes I would agree... The original thread starter, has asked the question,.but personally, I would not use a Greyhound over a Sheepdog.... I much prefer to utilise a fast type of lurcher, as opposed to a pure race track dog... Mind you,..when line breeding Collie crosses,..there is often a throw back. She waits quietly in the wings,..so ya best be ready Amazingly enough, if you are only a hedgerow hunter and don't require a lurcher to do 'other tasks',..these blasts from the past ,often work out incredibly well, and are they talked about,.. for years to come... You wouldn
  8. Is anybody on here going to Pickering game fair this year? And if so what do you think of the show if you've been before?
  9. Ino what you meen mate my sheepdogs a good yan he's not an eye dog type of sheepdog. Hes what people round my way call a fell dog. Straight legged and upright not one that crawls along the floor. And he was quick to start working at about 7 months he had the basic sheepdog commands down like his sides and stop. Really easy to train just the sort that aims to please and takes everything in you teach him. I think he would be a good potential sire.

  11. I have border collies and beardies. It's because one of my border collie sheepdogs is a real leggy sharp sort he's trained as a sheepdog not for anything else and I was wundering if that's the sort that people whant for the cross as I would love to see what pups would be like.
  12. Me an a mate were once out lamping a few years ago it was about 2am just shon the lamp across the field and we saw this guy in full camos. Thinking he was a poacher on my ground we approached him turns out this guy had gone mental and thought he was in a war zone and he tried to attack us luckily he wasn't armed so we managed to get hold of him and Hogg tie him and carry him to the road and rang the old bill it was a rather eventful night haha.
  13. As above what way would you line a collie x greyhound? Put a collie dog on a grey bitch or grey dog on collie bitch. Or does it not matter? What are all your views on it? Any reply will be much appreciated.
  14. My families been breeding working Borders for as long as I can remember my great grandad started our line and he past it down to my grandad and so on. We can still date are line back to his 1st terrier. Weve had no problems with ours working some people say they are late starters but I would have to disagree. We dont sell any of our pups thought only let them go to a certain few. Not out to make money just want the best dog I can breed.
  15. Haha how long were they in there for. I hope it wasn't an expensive sofa.
  16. You can make one just as easily mate if u have a few tools knocking about and a bit of spare time on the weekend you'll have it done in no time.
  17. I don't think you can even get hold of dogos here in the uk because there in the dangerous dog act I've seen them abroad though. Are alanos in the same category? I would love to see some in the flesh.

  19. The red one could be a kelpie x whippet
  20. You don't need something the size of a small horse to take any game in this country. You want a big dog get a deer hound or wolf hound not one of them monstrostrosaties they just look slow and sluggish.
  21. Those will be your Alunt type of game stamping hounds. Good for standing about with your vest on Only jesting lads . I'm not trying to disrespect anyone or there dogs but I don't see the point in these giant dogs surely a dog half there size will do the same job just as well if not better. I know why we put a bit of pit in the mix but why do they want a dog that big? mastiffs are hardley the most atheletic dog there is. Or is it just the same as these lads u see on every street with a staffy to make them look hard (it doesn't btw) I really don't see the appeal. If sumone could fil
  22. I know exactly what you meen pet owners do my head right in. It's like banging your head against a wall rying to get your point across with them.
  23. Puma? I bet they take some bossing. The dogs will be in a fair mess afterwards wouldn't they.
