  1. Single handed of coarse lol.
  2. Couple of my favs. Its hard to pick one when you start flicking through the album.
  3. Ive been getting about 12 nets out of a 500g spool. I dont know how people make money at £3.50 a net like tiercel says. I would be bankrupt if i tried to make a living from it lol. I just learned to make them because im to tight to pay some one else to do something i can do myself. Plus its an awsome feeling catching rabbits in nets youve made yourself.
  4. Looks a nice spot ant. was it remote enough for you?
  5. Good stuff mate. Did you do your coarse with the dswa?
  6. Hares are vulnerable to liver fluke and that can kill a lot off if its a wet year.
  7. Lads shooting them is a massive contributer to their decline, same as the fox population, getting slaughtered by men with their big guns and their bigger ego's.So it's acceptable to kill over a hundred a night with a lurcher, but not with a rifle? FFS get real they are all dead and it does not matter how. 8. Its funny you should mention that i was talking to a farmer the other day and he also said he used marshmallows and that fettled them. He didnt give me the science behind it he just said he was told about it from a friend of a friend amd gave it a go. It would be intresting to find out how it works.
  9. Cheers for the info lads. Ive decided to make a stop net and give that a try. Ive nearly finnished it now im making it 6ft long thats the distance between two rows of stock fencing. So im looking forward to giving it a bash. Would a pole at either end of the net be enough or will it need a 3rd in the middle?
  10. Mine have me in stitches watching them do there war dance.
  11. Fook that, even after all these years them ticks give me the heebie jeebies, can't make my mind up wether your braver or stupider than me?? Lol. Probally a bit of both lol. You cant be afraid of ticks around here its a very ticky place.
  12. Just feed the ferret on any raw meet apart from pork. You can get about 12 chicken drumsticks from morrisons for £1.50p. Regarding ticks i just wait till they get big enough till i can get hold of them and just pull them out with my fingers.
  13. Ok lol. Do you fancy a walk out if your not busy?
  14. Im going to be down near derby for a couple days at the end of febuary if anybody fancies a walk out with the dogs. Doesnt have to be after game. It would be just good to get out and meet and have a crack with some new folk (and get away from the missus lol). I think it will be on the weekend the 27th till monday the 29th.
  15. All i did with mine was cut off the adapter for the cigarette lighter and the female end that plugs into the battery and soldered the two wires together. Its really easy i have no idea about electrics so if i can do it i think a toddler can lol. Not a proffesional job but it works grand.
  16. What do you lads think is the best way to net a hedge row with a row of stock fencing on each side? At the moment ive jist been climbing in and purse netting the holes like i would most places. And sometimes run my longnet down one side and have the dog on the other for any that break that side. the fences are about 5ft apart so i had an idea to put a couple of gate/pocket nets from one fence to the other in places so it makes it harder for them to bolt from hole to hole. I think the purse netting is probally the best option im just intrested to see what other folks methods are.
  17. Hes not a big dog he's not much bigger than a terrier. There was a lady turned up on my farm with 5 kelpies on leads they were twice the size of him. She even asked if she could use him as stud lol.
