  1. get a bushnell elite 4200. 6x24x50. top scope very clear. get one from the USA as it would work out a hell of a lot cheaper. they are over priced here anything from £500 to £600 in some shops. which i wouldnt pay that money for it. but you could find some secondhand ones cheaper got one for £285 like new with mounts. if not try a mtc viper 4x16x50 great scopes for the money or get a simmons whitetail 6.5x20x50 from the USA for £100 pound. thats what i use to have on mine before i got the bushnell. these are great for the money
  2. most people stick to around 60 to 70 yards with them. but can go to a 100 yards if you no where to aim. ive had a rabbit at 91 yards with mine using a mtc viper scope which has got great aim points on it. you could go over 100 if you no where to aim like i said. but if you want to shoot over a 100 yards mite as well add a hmr to you list to
  3. top shooting mate that is some lovely looking land you have there. you cant beat a frosty morning will out shooting
  4. go for the 4x16x50 mate a little more mag. and the mod your getting is a great mod to. you wont go wrong there fella
  5. same as i got. ive fitted the brooks trigger kit. and its made a great rifle even better. ive shot loads of rabbits with it and best shot yet was 91 yards which i think is good for a 22lr with sub ammo. if i was going for a centrefire rifle. i would think along the lines of tikka t3 tactial. my friend shoots one in 223. and ive seen him take loads of super shots with it. out to 300 yards at night to which takes some doing in the dark. but dont forget putting in the time counts not just the rifle. and i no my mate no's his rifle very well and the rifle is only as good as the person shooti
  6. still for sale top optics lads great for 22 lr. £75 pound posted now
  7. as above no longer needed. its got great optics and for £ pound posted. you wont find better. great field of view on this scope can take pictures if wanted. same scope as the late john darling used on his rapid. these where £200 to £220 pound when new. and you dont see them around much anymore. would be great on a 22lr rimfire very good in low light or when lamping. must go come on lads. i bet you wont find better optic's for the money. its got front px to. ps can take paypal but add 4% please for fees these can be picked up from my home and tested on my rifle if wanted its the one
  8. the dm80 mod is a great mod. very well made, easy to clean, and dm80 will make one for any cal rifle. say you wanted a 17 hmr mod he would make it just for the 17 hmr bullet to pass though. you wouldnt be able to use it on a 22lr like you could with a sak. but its better then the sak you still get the sonic crack but the blast when you 1st pull the trigger is all most cut out. where the sak you get the blast and then the sonic crack. i think its alot better because like i said its made the 17 hmr bullet. or so it fits back over the barrel on you rifle so its shorter then the sak would be. and
  9. just see a book thats out in the countymans weekly today. looks good for all you terrier man. its about digging terriers only so many going to be sold to so get in there lads
  10. im off to minsterley ranges in the morning. i cant wait hope its not to windy as i want to see what my hmr can really do. and some of the other lads are taking there 223's, 22/250. 303's and 308's and fac shotguns to have a go so cant wait to see what there like to.
  11. if its a 223 mate try the federal ammo. my friend has a tikka t3 tactical and his rifle loves federal ammo and is a tackdriver with it. but saying that each rifle can be different even if they are the same make. what i would do is try a couple of different boxes of ammo and see which you find the best for your rifle. atb jamie

  17. OT, Hi Apollo, what make of mod is on your rifle, good pics too, all the best, PJ that looks like a pes mod
  18. dm80 mods are very well made. and as good as anything on the market .loads of lads on the bbs have them and there are some write ups on there about the mod and how good it is. i should have one for mine next week.
  19. hi mate dont mean to be funny and hope you dont take this the wrong way but dont you think its abit dangerous shooting across the fields chasing rabbits and foxes in the jeep with loaded shotguns ? not trying to be funny but that seams scary to me. what if you hit a bump and the shotgun went off ?
  20. i have a 22lr which i use for rabbit control on the night. as the hmr is a little loud i find on the night. but i do use a 17 hmr in the day for rabbits. and crows on the ground. the hmr is a great little round and it all depends on where im shooting over. i take both rifles if im in the 4x4 with my friend as you never no which one you mite need as for centrefire im going for one in 5 to 6 months time and im going to get a 223 i was thinking about a 22/250 but i hear they are louder and the rounds are more to buy then 223. and as im not going to be reloading, and dont need the extra distan
