  4. hi have the elite 4200 6x24x50 with side px on it. the field of view isnt the best but dont let that put you off mate. the optics are super clear and the 24 mag comes in handy. i never go above 16mag as i find this more then i need. there is a picture in my sig its on my hmr rifle. you can pick them up for £300 mate which i find is a bargain they are £600+ in some shops over here and thats if you can find them. i got mine for £285 sceondhand but they came with the 30mm mounts and bc scope covers if you cant aford the euro top end scopes like s&b,swaro, etc etc then these are the nex
  5. ive got a 4x12x44 mtc viper on my fac s10 and love it. get crosshair system. 30mm tube so gets loads of light in it. couldnt ask for more really. i had it in a deal otherwise i would have got a mamba one with the little turrets on it.
  6. how many shots you get out of the aa s410k running it at fac mate ? not many i bet is it
  7. in what 22 or 177 mate ? if its 22 and you plan to go fac then get the air ranger. but your lose money on it i would buy a fac air rifle allready done as these can be had for bargain prices. i would have the aa s410k if its in standard 12ftlb and i would have it in 177 to. i have one and even now i have fac air and rimfires i still like shooting with the standard 12ftlb 177 air arms for pigeons and doves round the farm yard
  8. im sure someone off here who lives close mite take you out. and show you a thing or two about the different rifles mate if you ask you never no
  9. is the 22/250 really that dear mate ? ive just put in for 22/250 and ive seen where i can get hornady 52 gr ammo for £13 pound for 20 yet some 223 ammo is £15 to £16 pound for 20 ? so what ammo are you using in the 22/250 ? as i wont be using it that much it wont bother me to much about the price of the ammo really. but its nice to no what ammo people are using
  10. hi mate is there any chance you can go shooting with this person you no that has a fac ? if so go and see what you think and it will help you out no end. before i sent in for mine someone i new took me out shooting to see what its all about and your be surprized how much your pickup by just going out a couple of times.
  11. get a mod on it mate. as i bet it isnt going to do your hearing much good after a bit
  12. have you a mod on it mate as i bet that lowers the recoil loads. and the bang a friend of mine said there isnt that much difference in the noise between 223 modded and 22/250 modded ? is theis right you no ?
  13. have you tryed other factory ammo in it mate ? if so how was the groupings im intrested in a 22/250 and wanted to no if you have found it ammo fusy or does it fire most factory ammo well
  14. its nice mate your right it would have been better if i was on the hill in the distance looking back this way. there is some nice muntjac in the woods but i havent got permission there. but in the afternoons they come on to my permission sometimes. only thing is i havent got centrefire yet so cant take one for the pot
  15. nice one mate wish mine was dont worry about have the mentoring on for 6 months at least you got it. 6 months will fly by then your be out on your own with it. then after a year ask for open ticket on it
  16. went out for a look over the farm today. in this nice weather with my nephew i took the fac s10 as the farmer has been having problems with pigeons in his barn making a mess we had a look round the fields 1st to see if we could get the odd rabbit sitting out in the sun. but there wasnt any out which was abit crap never mind. we went up the top field by the wood to see if i could find my buttler creek scope cap i lost well lamping there two months back i had a good idea where it would be and i found it was going to take a couple of pictures but left the camera back in the jeep. anyway w
  17. semi's are good i bet if you keep them clean. or you have a couple of uprated parts in them. if going for a bolt which i would anyway go for the annie 1417 top rifle. if you dont want to pay that much go for the cz i did and i got the style version. i had brooks trigger kit fitted which i done myself its easy. and the grouping is as good as any 22lr on the market.
  18. keep the 222 for fox mate, hmr for rabbits upto 150 yards [ on still days no wind about] and 22lr for rabbits upto 100 yards i cant see how he says the 222 or 223 would do more then what the hmr would ? yes it does what the hmr would do better but would you really want to shoot rabbits with a centrefire if you want to eat them ? i wouldnt that is where the hmr comes in i think
  19. guess its just the noise some people dont like of a night really. my dads ticket should be here soon for one i hope as on one the shoots i go they come right in to your feet
  20. super rifles best on the market i would say.
  21. No not yet mate I've been meaning to get one for ages I've read loads of posts on rimfirecentral.com saying how good they are, where did you get yours from? i got mine from eric brooks himself but he takes a age to post it. try rimfire magic they mite have some in. they are worth there weight in gold mate. makes a hell of a difference.
  22. get amber you get more range with it then red. but both good i find its better to have a couple of different ones that way things dont get as use to them then
  23. sounds good mate well done on getting the land. if you cant get in range then go on the lamp of a night.
