bsa s10 tuned by john bowkett to 30ftlb. gets my vote ive had rapids but this imo shoots better finger nail size groups at 50 yards with it. and with one of his carbon mods on it to it sounds like a 12ftlb air arms with mod on ! if you go rapid try sam at cs firearms in manchester. he no's his stuff to and a top guy

have you fitted the brooks trigger to your hmr ? if not get one asap you wont be sorry. i fitted one to my 22lr and i was getting finger nail size groups at 60 yards after i had fitted it. it was good before i done it but better now as the trigger breaks crisp so lest chance of pulling a shot

mite be some work but cant you smooth is down and fill it if its deep. then respray it ?

the bolt on the s10 are fine. you just have to make sure you pull them right back otherwish it wont index the mag round fully i have a s410 cant find anything bad on them. s10 or rapid would be good if you want to go fac as your get more shots

it sounds silly but most of this mentoring lark is down to some feo's that dont no much about rifles i have mentoring on mine and when i said i was going for 17 hmr he didnt even no what it was he was getting it mixed up with 17 centrefire so some on them panick and put stuff on the ticket to cover there own back. the way i see it is they shouldnt give the jobs to people that haven been around guns or no about guns. because at the end of the day you mite no more about rifles and shotguns then he does ! so how is it fair for him to say weather you cant have it if he doesnt no anyth -

s10 carbine gets my vote. i have the standard length version and love it. carbine would be good in 12ftlb i had the longer one as mine is fac'd so get more shots. i have a s410k to and it spot on the only think i dont like on it is the stock cheek piece isnt that big. so i find it isnt as as good to shoot as the s10, where i find it rest's your face up better looking in to the scope. ive had rapid mk1 and m2 both top rifles. falcon looks a nice rifle ive never had one. but lthey ook nice and ive heard there vey good and light so that could be the one to go for

have you got this sorted now mate ? iv given up mate...use the rifle nearly every day...cant be doing without a scope on the 17.....its a shame.....guess i bought the wrong scope for the rifle..has knocked my confidance in the rifle.if i miss i wonder if its me or the scope....should of stuck to schmidt really i have a bushnell on mine 6x24x50 elite. very good scope and so clear. you can pick them up for £300 over here on different shooting sites. they are £600 if you can find them in the shops here so half price really for a top piece of glass.

cheers lads it running very well so far. loads of space for kit to so thats good. havent been off road in it yet as the grounds to wet and i dont want the farmer moaning at me for turfing up the fields

just sand abit out where its touching mate. dont forget to coat it and let it dry before putting back in stock. as you dont want any of the wood exposed once you have finely sanded away where its touching

just got myself this bit of kit for abit of off roading. and troting round the farms of my shoots. i only payed £1200 for it it has fsh, and 85000 on the clock. in great nick to. all the 4x4 works as it should no leaks, engine runs sweet to. all ive got to do is get a service for piece of mind really, change all the belts, and get a spare wheel for the back, and take care on one tiny piece of rust by the back lefthand door. and maybe have it waxoiled under it to

just dont bare thinking about what it would do to a person does it good fun on a paint can i shot a 1 1/2inch board at 150 yards just to see what it would do with the hmr and its scary to think what would happen to flesh isnt it. poor foxy and mr rabbit -
they are good. but not so good on windy nights as they are not as loud.
