  2. Nice to see the younger generation getting into birds (featherd version) that is. Hope you all the success spartan, British finches aren't the easiest to breed, keep them clean when you can, give the hens space and avoid eye contact when there sitting and watch the cock bird with the eggs/chicks they some times prick eggs and kill there own chick/young so they can tred the hen again.
  3. Gutted for you mate had simular thing happened to me, had to call vet out to put him to sleep were he dropped ( shattered his back leg) take your time to grieve. It took me nearly 2 years before I got another pup, should have been sooner but it really knocked me back. He was an exceptional worker and friend and it WAS hard when he wasn't around any more.
  4. Could be an anxiety thing (has the dog ever injured him self or fell from a high wall) the other dog attack because his confused with behavior or sees it as a weekness. A bit like when a dog has a fit and some dogs will have a go. Your friend should try the dog in his garden going over small obstacles for treats slowly building up his confidence Happy Hunting
  5. Does the dog act this way (barking etc) when it's on its own at walls and fences? Or is just in the company of other dogs

I've got a browning 4 in 1 X change system with hydro fleece had it over 8 years still worm and dry and good for many more seasons got it from Bass pro shop in USA. much cheaper than buying in UK, Mail order available I buy lots of gear from Bass pro and even with import duties it works out much cheaper.   9. I have spent a lot of money at the vets because of people's dogs out of control bought myself one of those extending hiking poles got a nice point on the end no more vet bills for me and the problem dogs/owners seem to avoid me now.
  10. If a mink is found in a trap/snare it would be illegal to release the animal as it's not a native to our country. It must be killed humanly but what do you do if you haven't a gun
  11. If you was to catch a mink in a trap you can not release it You must humanly kill it, it would be illegal to let it go.

  15. I think you can get an injection to help bring her into season but its no guarantee. If your working her hard and theres not and once of fat on her ie tip top working condition shes unlikely to, unless you drastically re juice her work load

  18. You can get them jabbed up to stop them coming into season does the job just have to have it done about 10-14 days before showing. I use to let her have alternative seasons didn't do her any harm. She didnt come into season until she was about 4 when I rejuiced her work load.
