SimonC_Here replied to Matt29's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Or, if you don't want to be a dick and have some respect for the life of your quarry like you seem to, then there are a few club options for you: PARC http://www.pontefractairrifleclub.co.uk/whereweare.htm Anston http://www.anstonftc.co.uk/directions/ Emley Moor http://www.emleymoorftc.co.uk/how-to-find-us the bloke obviously can shoot, getting out in the field is completely different to shooting targets and in my opinion the only way to learn is in a field, dont see how that makes anyone a dick, but this is THL you cant say anything with out some one starting to hurl abuse -

Ballistic Calculator
SimonC_Here replied to daiwatkins89's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Just checked on my phone and they are exactly the same on both. Are you sure you haven't got the mag different or something? -
Actually it's: A person commits an offence if, without lawful authority or reasonable excuse (the proof whereof lies on him) he has with him in a public place [F45(a)a loaded shot gun, (an air weapon (whether loaded or not), ©any other firearm (whether loaded or not) together with ammunition suitable for use in that firearm, or (d)an imitation firearm.] So It doesn't matter if it's loaded or not if you don't have a reasonable excuse. And remember the gun isn't yours. You can't buy it or be given it as a present. So give your money to your parent and get them to buy it for 'them'.
-
You will have to recrown the end of the barrel after you chop it down and remember the length of the barrel is important to the power the gun can create.

Titan was the forerunner of the Falcon range both sadly no longer made. Still god basic guns though and you can still get parts. -
Daystate Over Limit Help
SimonC_Here replied to Jln's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Still very high. Have you tried a heavier pellet in it? You might be unpleasantly surprised. -
Your battery from china will not turn up. they changed the postage laws a little while ago. No batterys through the post unless its integral to a machine. ask for your refund now and find another source. I was just going to chip in with this. You won't get the battery. I'm surprised it doesn't say on the auction. When trying to buy lipo's for my helicopters when the law kicked in, the seller emailed me back almost straight away saying they couldn't sent it.

Cleaning Barrel While Testing Pellets
SimonC_Here replied to Geordieboy's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Stick a fishing line loop through it and pull a patch back through. Repeat until clean. I've not tried shooting felt pellets through my Airwolf as I'm worried they will get caught up in the shroud. Works fine for my Raptor though. -
You can't send guns via TNT though. Or pretty much any other courier. You can do a RFD - RFD transfer but someone has to pay the extra charges. Really I had a section 1 delivered to my local shop yesterday, via rfd obviously, could have sworn it said tnt on the invoice :whistling:a new airgun or secondhand from a dealer must go rfd, but the private man can still send none fac airguns via private courier. As 4sight says. You can use TNT if you have a business account, but not otherwise. Check the T&C for the other carriers and you will see firearms (including airguns) are pr

Is it still Parcelforce 48 hour service only? People have suggested marking the parcel surface only to make sure they don't try to fly it anywhere. No to Paypal. There is no protection and it's really easy for the buyer to get their money back.

Prometheus Pellets
SimonC_Here replied to Blackbriar's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Ah, the Sussex sabo pellets. Never did have a go at them, but I used to have a little black tub of the plastic prometheus ones. It was funny finding the head inside the cardboard box holding the target and the plastic bit on the floor in front. I might have put a few back together and fired them again -
If your sd card is a large capacity one and has the letters sdHC on it then it's probable that the card reader can't read it. Check the card reader or the box it came in for the word sdHC. Some cheap card readers don't support the high capacity cards.

What's wrong with dispatch with an air pistol? I've used a .22 hurricane for years to deal with small vermin in cage traps. A back to front RWS hobby usually does the jobI meant the modern 6ft/lb pistols, mate. Not many 6ft/1b pistols around so Iam informed. HW45? Alecto? Many of the Crossmans? -
Anyone Know What Bipod This Is.....
SimonC_Here replied to KurtH's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Could be this one or one like it: http://www.surplusstoreuk.co.uk/bb-guns/bb-gun-accessories/tactical-equipment-attachments/utg-foldable-deluxe-ris-bi-pod.html A guy at my club has one like that, if he is there on Sunday I'll ask him. -
that's what im gunna do mate may aswell save them money tbh tho would have thought they would have done it for nothing aslong as they can see its not been messed about with Just a quick question. How much do you think it would cost to send a rifle via courier twice? they probably would be doing the work for free and then you would retain the tamper seal.
-
That's not bad considering postage costs will eat up most of that.
-
that's were im off at 10 to the local shop mate but still how can the pellet be dropping 5 1/2 inch at 60yrds 12ftlb You can't, it should be around 10 inches. So its either over power or you can't read a ruler!
-
You must be near someone who has a chrono to check for you first before bothering sfs. that's got to be your first thing.
-
Oh if that's right, you are a little bit over power there!
-
Setting the pellets to .177? My airwolf is 5.42 inches at 60 yards according to strelok+

depends on what you mean by split. the butt pad is adjustable up and down so there is a line between the pad and the spacer. Simon
