  1. Right lads, I have a air arms s410 which I bought pre owned, it had carbon wrap all over the gun and I guess curiosity got the better of me, I decided to remove the wrap, low and behold pitting, surface rust and just general untidiness. I bought this gun to use in the damper weather and around the cold periods of the year so painting the gun seemed like a good idea. I love the look of a blued rifle, I can't find any paint that even resembles the look of it, I have also toyed with the idea of having the gun dipped in a real tree cammo effect hydro graphic as well as sanding the rust back a
  2. I went for the s410 hunter classic lads, there's just something about that stock!!
  3. Right guys I have the opportunity of buying a mk 1 wheirauch hw100 at a pretty decent price. It's in good condition and has been well looked after. I really want a s410 superlite classic there's just summit about it lol I currently own a s410 carbine and a bsa r10 john bowkett tuned. Do I put all my cash into the s410 because I want it? Do I buy the hw100 because I would probably use it then sell it in in the summer to make a bit cash Or do you have any other suggestions lol. Please help as I'm ment to be going to collect the hw100 this afternoon
  4. I won't go into it either but most air rifles are easy to tune with a bit common knowledge,
  5. Yeah you should defiantly have it checked bud
  6. Hi, I've recently stripped and re sealed my s410. Filled and put it through the chrono using the 2 types of pellet I use. Accupells at its maximum I'm reading 12.15ft/lbs Bisly magnums at max 8.76ft/lbs Q) if I was to only use the magnums would this be classed as legal? I know where I have gone wrong putting the rifle back together but do I really need to strip it again if I'm only using the heavier pellet. Any help much appreciated, all the best jln
  7. I have a pre 2006 s410 carbine, when I bought the rifle it had around 150 bar in the cylinder so set my scopes zero. Now it's fine untill it drops to 100 bar, at 100 bat the pellet will contact the target 1 mill dot low. So I decided to fill full at 190 bar, shot a few pellets and they all made contact 1 mill dot high?? This is at around 10 meters, I was going to use this gun for hunting but can't rely on it if it can't be fixed. I'm assuming that this can't be right? Is there any one that can help me out? Many Thanks Jamie
  8. why didnt he turn it down for you? was he actualy a gun smith? I guess he wasn't a gunsmith, the thing is the shop in question are very well respected in my area, also they have a few staff members, maybes it's the time of year or they just couldn't be bothered? I also have a bsa r 10 that was a little low at only 9.4 lbs with accupells and again they had to send it to bsa to have it tuned, this was under warranty. hi jin if you buy a rifle from a shop, they send it back to the manufacturer, because its still under warranty, its not there problem! it has to go back to the manufacturer.
