spent countless hour ferreting rats as a kid around the landfill and sewerage works, most jills either give up or get killed you will get the odd one that will keep doing it but are few and far between. if even seen them carry the fight on, on top and trust me the rat doesnt give any quater. i dont ferret anymore but if i did i wouldnt be ratting with them now.

its a long time ago know but i had mine opened up within 6 months, just bombarded them every week with permision letters for land that needed checking, in the end the flo came out asked me a couple of questions and that was it.

sold one this week £60 to a lad on here for his son, perfect for ferrals in barns and close quarter ratting mate.

if they hit the woods they will not shift, not even for a pack of hounds, they will use every bit of cover going to and from the woods but not the open ground.the key to seeing muntjac, is to understand there habbits, if you understand where there going, you will know where to see them

Same hear mate where I live there's loads It's hard to get them in the open and there hard running them in the woods that's there domain it takes a very good dog and once in the woods they don't really break cover very good quarry. There always carrying young aswell. there were ways when it was legal ,2 dogs were a must and at least one must have been fearless in cover, you could tell the type they normally had inverted v`s on the ends of there ears

if bryn was that good why have a gs greyhound what extra you getting both bred for the same thing same coat type same brain power if they where that good how come the collie xs have been around alot longer its only people trying it out again been told bryn is a good dog but like i said to ray i would match him with my bitch on all game not just rabbits but bryn dont like things that bite back so iv herd along the line ........ i was not having ago at ray just wondered why that x when there are other breed of dogs doing the same and letting the last pup go when it was still a saplin there must

Thats exactly what i was meaning in my 1st post when i said about owners with the gift of the gab..some folk on the strength of perhaps one good shift from the dog they then hype them up to the point when they convince not only themselves but everyone who is prepared to listen to their shite that the dog is the be all and end all in lurcherdom and thats more the case via the internet! I'm not saying this is always the case with these dogs which are spoken of so highly but there is no doubt that some dogs who are given the pedestal treatment are nothing better than your average cur imo? they paid for permision their side you were given permision your side and british waterways own the bit in the middle That was my thinking, i've got a rod licence and the bank is private land owned by my work so i'm covered sounds good to me, ive had this on a local river mate, boils down to the fact they think there paying for the lot, they aint there paying for the right to fish that bank.
