Yeah you know what’s it’s like poverty & gentrification cheek by jowl. To fair to my mate, he hasn’t been afraid to mix in with some proper local bods instead of just existing in that metropolitan middle class bubble. There seems to be a good local mix of people that have formed quite a community spirit centred around The Roebuck pub which is right outside my mates place. My brother on the other hand who’s lived in central & outer London for over 20 years barely knows a proper local! Sible hedingham meets Tower Hamlets......oh my god! ?

He absolutely loves it round there mate. He’s been there over 10 years & never had a problem....... he’s quite the local now. I like it...................for a quick visit! ?

What do people think of extra measures now? Seems like the U.K. is just putting off the inevitable or just drip feeding measures when they ultimately know what will be needed. Rumour has it France might step up with their shutdown this week & similar talk here. I think for sure they will get tougher here after Brussels parks have apparently been packed over the wkend! Obviously lock down is a harder prospect for people in big towns & cities. It’s been easy for our family thus far, but my mate living in an apartment in Bermondsey with his wife & a handful of a 7 year old

They’ve started giving out 350 euro fines here to people really taking the piss. I wonder if more measures will be announced next week in the U.K.?

I read this morning they are trying to stop Belgians heading to their holiday homes on the coast & in the Ardennes. Not sure how effective it will be, but they are apparently patrolling the roads to the coast etc....

Got some 3rd hand info from the Home Office last night so could be utter shite! ? but there’s a good reason why a lockdown hasn’t been enforced yet & it’s all a bit vague........ they want the wheels to keep turning where posible & hoping people just start drifting back to normality. Which we will have to anyway at some point soon. Of course the Mrs had a little list for me this morning just when I thought was done with supplies for a week! Things have calmed right down here & there’s plenty of everything on the shelves. Panic over ??
