  1. Belgium’s doing ok, but I think only by chance ?
  2. Anyone think the uk should follow other countries & encourage a shut down of non essential movements for 2 weeks?
  3. That’s a real shame mate. It was a big thing for me in the uk supporting local rural shops/farm shops etc. People used to think I was mad driving around these places instead of Tesco’s etc all because of the cost! Since I’ve moved here two of those places have gone for good. We are very lucky here, but it may not always be that way, so I always use what we’ve got when I can.
  4. Plenty of local shops here outside of big towns & cities. I must admit I was pretty lucky in that respect where I lived in the uk too. I’m trying think what’s it like for my dad in Brittany. They are rural & I think they have some near-by?
  5. This is a good time to support your local shops folks instead of relying on big supermarkets for everything
  6. Could be civil unrest in Holland. They’ve closed the coffee shops! ?
  7. I here what people are saying about globalisation, all sounds great until you’re on amazon prime or booking you’re next holiday abroad. Always someone else that needs to take stock isn’t it?
  8. I think it’s more to do with the fact it hasn’t spread as quick there, plus younger populations. Some speculate it’s because of the warmer climate & early screenings put in place due to lessons learnt from Ebola. Although this could all change very quickly like it has elsewhere....
  9. One plus is people seem to be getting out for walks more. Drove quite a distance today & saw an unusually large amount of people along a familiar route walking the fields & footpaths. The weather has turned at the right time for sure!
  10. They are kept by all sorts here. Many look fine as pets, but more than likely those aren’t necessarily straight from working lines. The ones from working lines invariably stand out, look ‘electric’ on the end of their leads & are probably used for ring sport etc. A young falconer lad I know here has 4-5 of them, mostly used for sport. He teaches people as well. The one in the house is fine, the others in the kennels I wouldn’t be anywhere near! ? A member on here has a lovely example from working lines that’s an absolute pleasure to be around. A lot will depend on how they are ra
  11. It's getting so bad I heard some people already miss talking about Brexit ?
  12. Some latin philosophical phrases should help! ?
  13. Them & japan I think. When they first shut the schools a lot of those kids went straight to grandparents because the parents were still working. Is it 1 in 4 retired age?
  14. Who thinks the uk gov will change tact in the next couple of days?
  15. Not what I was expecting......
  16. Packs of tissue are cheap & easy to carry
  17. Quite a shut down here now. Bars & restaurants etc any classes, kids stuff & gatherings it seems....... Be interesting to see how effective this is compared to other approaches. I’m not entirely convinced myself because a real shut down is just not sustainable long term..... .....looks like we’ve got to go to Holland for lunch out tomorrow! ?
  18. Got one sent a few days ago. Haven’t set it yet, but was wondering if screwing it to a small board would be a good idea? It seems like it might be kind of awkward to handle when set?
  19. That’s good to hear. I was going to order the scout first, but then the lt caught my eye, plus I haven’t got the biggest of hands ?
  20. I’ve ordered the scout lt from pro-shot last night.... anyone shot one? Any thoughts? I’m not much more than a beginner really. I got quite reasonable with a ply catty a few years ago, but never carried on for some reason or another & thought this might be a good model to get me started again.
  21. It’s time to prepare that vegetable patch I’ve promising for the last 2 years!
