I understand that mate. My own fault i proberbly sounded a tight f****r i just aint as trusting in folk once bitten twice shy n all that. Hard enough trying to get the good into good hands. Spose overlooking things is easy done. Atb

Keep em tight keep em right. Regarding pure sals. Dont take long to f**k up a lot of hard work. Open stud would be the last thing on my mind. Select bitches, quality over quantity and all that...

More then likley mate im sure she will be fine with a bit of rest

Dont lamp her when grounds like iron bud. A good doggy man will know when to hold em back just as well as knowing when to pull the trigger. Get some deep heat rubbed into her leg and rest her atb

Skinned and gutted. Rabbits can look in great nick at first glance but often carry fleas. I worm and flea my dogs reg but still like to take pelts off rabbit before i feed them to the dogs

Hows your import getting on thomas be interesting to hear how hes settled ect -
Shame that things have altered max regarding the greyhounds of yesteryear, not for the better by the admission of a greyhoundman that certenly knows more then i ever will on greyhounds. Just concretes my views on how todays greyhound aint the beast to improve todays coursing lurcher. Again only my opinion going off whats been said

Great pics ne courser / stone rose. Have you any pics of your bitch max cheers
-
Any pics lads

Sandyemere if you was right in your assumption surely greyhounds would be the go to of the coursing game. Fact is a good greyound aint even in the same league as a good coursing lurcher or saluki. It may have better top speed, but coursing hares and killing them consitantly isnt just about out n out speed. Afterall most of old time coursing greyhounds were ran doubled up and how many hares used to get cought? Not many. Greyhounds have been a longstay in britain and the salukis came to these shores a long time after. I think if they had been here as long as the greyhound things would be very di

That ship sailed long ago,,,i cant think of the last time i heared a litter of proper pure working deerhounds, bred from pures and tested pures and so on. Im sure people on here have though as theres many a man with a "friend" whos got this that or the other. Ill stand corrected if otherwise...
-
In no way shape or form will a greyhound compete for consistantly killing hares like a saluki. How many top draw coursing dogs were bred straight off a greyhound x coursing dog? Coursing lines are saluki saturated for a reason. Facts are facts.

People do often speculate that mating a greyhound to a saluki you improve what you had(saluki). What if you were to look at other side of coin, does the saluki not av more to offer than the greyhound? Saluki av great feet un matched stamina brains even a better coat ect. Just a thought like. I personaly cant see the need to add anything to a good pure sal

A few would beg to differ max its a bit brash saying a greyhound would improve a saluki (Toung n cheek). good pure worth its wait imo. Luck willing there will be a gooď? Future infront of some the salukis over here as theres a fair share of good lads doing there bit with the pures

nice one lurcherlad, ,tote your assuming that them 20 in an ideal world there would make it through, many get flattened on roads, birds of prey ect,,as a dog lad im sure youle know better then them speculations never come true. take what you need, when you need,,,else the next feller and hes dog will.some of us cant stop through the warmer parts of the year due to the damage they cause landowners thus keeping us in the loop of having to keep on top of them, after all there pests, those who can resist the odd lift of a bag full to keep the dogs ticking over and put some tucker in freezer then all
