  1. The only belt stripped off Fury was the IBF belt because he was rematching Wlad as contractually agreed,Hearn was involved in lobbying the IBF to strip him of it straight after winnning it to make the belt vacant and we all know where the belt ended up ? The WBO and WBA belts were given up by Fury himself iirc, no doubt he would have been stripped after the failed 2016 Sept test though . Here is two links explaining the failed test after the Feb 2015 fight with Hammer and Hughies failed test also in Feb 2015.Fury was 100% clean for the Wlad fight but did dip for coke (not a ped but still a ban
  2. Richard Shaeffer former ceo of Golden Boy said the Fury v Wilder fight did well and certainly better than expected and grossed more than any of AJs fight inc the Wlad fight. I cant find the thread now with exact numbers ( rig wifi playing up) but heres an older link with some info .I think the American ppv is around $75-80. hth https://www.ringtv.com/549226-deontay-wilder-vs-tyson-fury-tracking-at-over-30000-pay-per-view-buys/
  3. I know Pesky was repying to Max but it was me who mentioned that AJ needed to raise his profile, unless Max mentioned it also and ive missed it . Its only each others opinions on the subject anyway at the end of the day in what is a good thread . ?
  4. Who said he needs to raise his profile to fight Fury or Wilder ? I didn't say he needs to increase his profile to fight Wilder or Fury ! AJ needs to raise his profile for the benefit of tapping Into the lucrative American ppv market.AJs last fight shown for free in America was only viewed by 16k as well as his ppv figures for the same fight (Povetkin) being down over 300k and only viewed by 20k on DAZN .
  5. Hearn is not stupid and he wont be out done,he knows that the Wilder v Fury fight has gained them more US exposure so are probably now after there recent fight over there in America better known than what AJ is. AJ has marginalised himself some what as he has only fought in Britain however he's the multi belt holder and calls the shots but he's not stupid either so he knows as well as Hearn does that he needs to increase his profile and that is why the Miller fight for AJ at MSG would tick all the boxes for Hearn/AJ at this point now in AJs career. At the end of the day its only a voluntary f
  6. Broner should of lost to Malignaggi the fight before he fought Maidana, that was one of the worst decisions of the year (2013) iirc . Typical boxing politics tbh,Broner was the young man on the way up and Malignaggi was the one coming to the end of his career.
  7. Tyson was on the slide well before the Douglas loss, once Rooney walked away after the Spinks fight Tyson was on his own and left to his own devices.Rooney was the last of the original team Tyson and boy did it show once he was out the picture.Gone was the discipline, footwork, head movement, blistering combinations, elusiveness and Tyson started to get hit !! Tysons first fight after Spinks and the first without Rooney was the Bruno fight and Tyson probably got hit clean more in that fight than the rest of his career put together up until that point. After the Spinks fight Tyson relied soley on int
  8. Good post with no BS ? Haymon,Warren and Hearn are to blame as much as the fighters amd probably more as to why these fights have not happened, maybe not so much Warren as Tyson only returned in 2018 but he is certainly making up ground now after Furys performance against Wilder and he is now also making stupid demands. At the end of the day the fighters fight and the promoters get paid, end of story. All three of these in there own way have held the fights up that the fans are clamouring for and to see who is going to be the undisputed champion and if nothing else sort a few arguments out on h
  9. Tyson Fury said almost the same thing when asked how he would have fared against Mike Tyson,he said he would have been kod in the first round .
  10. F If the Hearn offer of 40% is true then there is no denying that if Wilder refuses the fight he is the one clearly avoiding the fight with Joshua. It would be nice to think after all the back and forth between the three top Heavyweights that the belt organisations are going to step in and sort it all out for the sake of the fans and also to clear the situation up.
  11. Brezeale is the mandatory for wilders WBC belt and has been for around 18 month iirc. Its a strange situation in that they have ordered an immediate rematch as Fury was only a voluntary challenger and also Whyte has been sitting as the WBC no1 contender for a good while now as well. If Wilder does not agree to fight Fury then he will be stripped and more than likely Fury V Brezeale would fight for the belt with Whyte moved up to mandatory. Two ways you can look at it really either the WBC have made this move to get Wilder out of fighting Joshua or they have had enough of him and would prefer th
  12. If Hearn is now offering Wilder and Fury 40% deals there is no reason why the fights cant be made . The low purses to face Joshua were apparently what was stopping the fights happening. Surely for Fury 40% against Joshua would be worth more than 40% against Wilder ? and the Joshua fight would be in the UK .
  13. WBC looking out for Wilder again ? They have ordered an immediate rematch with Fury and the split to be 60/40 in Wilders favour. What a coincidence as Hearn had just allegedly offered Wilder a 40% split for him to face Joshua ! Wilder would be seen by everyone to be the one avoiding Joshua had he not accepted the 40% offer from Hearn , now with the WBC ordering the immediate rematch with Fury that gets Wilder out of fighting Joshua. If fight goes to purse bids Hearn has said he will be in for it. 2019 could be an interesting one for the Heavyweight division. ?
  14. Miller has not fought anybody in top ten but he himself is ranked so would be an ideal opponent for Joshua if he does make his American debut. Ray tbh its any guess who it could be up next for Joshua as Hearn usually has the opponent named by now. After this fight Joshua has mandatorys to deal with anyway before he can look elsewhere unless Wilder decides to fight him and this fight would take precedence over the mandatorys .
  15. Even quite a bit before that. Wlad was never the same fighter after the Sanders fight, after that he became the boring safety first fighter he is known for being, don't get me wrong still a great fighter but totally different to how he was before the Sanders loss .
  16. Not sure if Whyte is the right opponent for Joshua or even if Joshua is still fighting in April, rumours are that Whyte is stepping in to fight Wlad. Wlads best days are well behind him now but Whyte would be an interesting fight. Joshua's ppv figures were down over 320k for his last fight and it was streamed for free in America with only 16k watching it. Joshua needs to raise his profile and get more exposure so I could certainly see how the Miller fight makes sense rather than fighting Whyte again. Joshua won't be wary to fight Whyte again who he already kod ,like I say it has a lot to do to
  17. I have my doubts also if Wilder will go through with the rematch,I think he prefers to cash out against Joshua if he can get a better deal than the rematch with Fury or even just fight his mandatory Brezeale.Wilder knows that Fury in the rematch will be sharper/fitter more focussed and with his body also more accustomed now to the big weight loss. Fury will also show Wilder more respect in the rematch,it was his clowning/show boating that got him dropped twice in the first fight. Fury should be an all round better fighter than in the first fight and be able to make the right adjustments,Wilder
  18. Reports saying the fights in America before June, Fury is already in training . Fury should hold out to get the rematch in UK, Fury getting a decision in Las Vegas would be very doubtful. If fights in America then Fury obviously confident to fight there again and also less distractions for Fury over there and more than likely back to the Wildcard gym . https://www.boxingnews24.com/2019/01/deontay-wilder-vs-tyson-fury-heading-to-u-s-before-june/
  19. Countrys fooked alright, your lads mate has lost his licence and livelihood for 12 points but there are plenty people driving round with over 40 points all the way upto 62 points ? Its all wrong , 203 people driving around with more than 18 points ! https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-england-39053658
  20. Most beggars I've seen where in Edinburgh last year, literally on most street corners or near cash points. There was also a few on Blackpool front when I was down there before Xmas .
  21. Roker Avenue or Hendon also lol
  22. At the end of the day you don't get chased down and stabbed to death by three people for F*^k all, especially a 14 year old boy ! No doubt there is more to this story than is being released . He's not even old enough to be driving around the roads on a moped .
  23. You could just put a Magpie ring tone on your phone, I know a few lads who have done this, just for taking photos of course . hth
  24. A mates Dad has a Cane x Presa a big animal that certainly looks the part .
  25. Max I don't believe that Joshua is scared to fight Wilder / Fury or even Ortiz for that matter or to fight outside the UK but Hearn most certainly is. Hearn has done a great job of building Joshua up into a marketing monster but has pulled some strokes along the way. When Fury beat Wlad,Wlad invoked his rematch clause so Fury was obliged contractually to rematch him. The day after the fight Hearn was involved in lobbying the IBF to strip Fury of there belt,Fury was stripped less than a week after winning it ! Glazkov fought Martin for the vacant IBF belt just 49 days later with Martin winning
