  1. good price that mate, doubt it will be around long.
  2. used to watch it all time dont bother anymore, although i did watch last weeks and thought it was ok apart from the landrover bit, all they managed to do was test a winch and not show the capabilitys of a classic landrover, could have been made a lot better. also cant stand hammond.
  3. couple ferrets a locator some nets a carry box and and a nice shovel. marking dog is also helpful but not essential id keep at least 2 ferrets as they like company, you might struggle to get a few that are working at this time of year. might be better off waiting and getting a couple of kits and start next season. kits are good fun anyway and gives you time to buy the gear in bits. alot of people sell up in the summer so might get a few bargains. go for some heavy nets and not the bisley 4oz crap or youll be forever untangling the things. theres people on here that make them to whate
  4. nice one mate. ive got a jack x chihuahua and shes a cracking little bushing dog yaps when shes on something got a lovely coat on her just shes ugly as f*ck haha
  5. I thought the best way to do it was one dog and one ferret? Easier to keep an eye on things
  6. how do you switch it on with one hand if you have a dog in the other? Same as you would with another style lamp, I just use my thumb to give a gentle bit of pressure on the button at rear of torch, simple really. The handle just makes sweeping the beam easier for me, may not suit everyone but it's better for me. My bitch, although kept on a slip is biddable when the beam is on, and generally there are two of us out with only one lamp so I'm not always using the light anyway, I just find it better as I say but each to their own ? Ah I see, might just be me but from the pic it looks
  7. how do you switch it on with one hand if you have a dog in the other?
  8. ALRIGHT TROOPS. BOUGHT MY SON ONE FOR XMAS. THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD CRISP SPOT BUT A BIT UNDER POWERED. WOULDVE BEEN BETTER WAE A STRONGER L.E.D.INSIDE IT. Suppose it depends where you lamp. Most of my permission is small to medium sized fields and it's brilliant. Have really tried it on a big open field but don't think it would be problem as I don't slip the dog from miles away.
  9. I have a tracer 150 led and I can't fault. I find it easier to spot with it than halogen, but I'm colour blind with certain colours and find it a bit more difficult with a halogen. Also I do a lot of gate lamping as some of my permission is just small fields and compared to my mates striker with a battery to get in an out of the car with its great and we end up leaving the striker in the car most of the time. I only lamp bunnies with it and it's brilliant for that. I think the k50 is next on the list though. I went for the rechargeable 150 which apparently gives 2.5 hours run time, but I've ye
  10. If I had the cash spare I'd have it in a flash! As I'm looking for another bushing dog. Coins are thin at the moment though. Good luck finding him a home. Atb
  11. ive got the ridgeline smock, it is completely waterproof and is very warm but about as breathable as a bin bag, im happy with mine though as i only wear it when its freezing cold.
  12. thats steep haha. best bet is to just phone around all your local vets, where does your mate take his?
  13. what exactly are you going to do with 1000 of them lol good price though, if you could just buy the one haha
  14. either find a vet that will give a jill jab to take it out of season (although they can come back into season) or just keep the cage clean untill they come out. why doesnt he recommend it getting spayed? seems strange
  15. They are constant 4 wheel drive. They are fitted with a viscous coupling unit which puts drive to the rear wheels when the fronts start to slip. But there is a percentage of the drive to the rear constantly. Can't remember how it's split though. The traction control does help alot when off roading and they are quite capable. Only let down really is ground clearance. Obviously not as good as something like a disco or defender but decent enough
  16. If I were you mate I'd have a good read about them. Join up on landyzone there's loads of info on there. They do seem to be plagued with problems. Have a good read up on the 4 wheel drive system as even running different tire pressures can cause problems. Atb
  17. Not sure if it's a pup you want but seen on here this morning lurchers4life is selling his 16 month collie whippet grey. I've got the brother to him and he's a belter!
  18. Hi, I've got a webley hawk mk3 here but I don't know much about them. I know it needs a bit of work as it doesn't shoot consistently. Was wondering if any one knew much about them, are they any good. What they worth And is there anyone around South Wales that could strip it down and tidy it up and get it shooting nicely. Thanks
  19. There has been a lot of talk saying it's rumours but better to be aware I think. My butty said he'd seen the van driving around caerphilly yesterday. Seems strange that theyve been seen all over the place just driving around if it's rumours
