    i usually feed around tea time if im not planning on out with the lamp, but if im going lamping id feed when i got back

    I've a deer x grey pup 8 months are shes starting the old deaf game and doing her own thing, can become frustrating at times but hopefully it passes soon enough, atb mate

    As already said mate all dogs are different, i've had a 3/4 bred collie grey who was catching lamped rabbits at 8month odd but my current pup a deer x grey bitch (now 8month) is still very very puppyish and think she wil take another couple of months before shes getting lampers

    totally agree, collie x greys are excellent ferreting dogs make gret lampers aswell and will be easy to train for a newbie

    i know plenty of greyhound lads who have had open class dogs that feed them brown bread as part of their meal regular and its done them no harm atall, i always belive in the old saying "if its not broke, it dosnt need fixing"

    just noticed this post and was talking to a mate about lack of deerhound Xs there is locally and i had said that i was thinkng about starting my own line of deerhound x greyhounds, i have always had a great admiration for the X and think they make such a handy tool round these parts, so maybe in 10-15 years time i,ll be able to say i was up to this mantle

    Aye mine and wee barrells seem to be the smallest but mine still has a bit of knuckle to grow into so fingers crosses she's only another couple of inches to go

    ive got a white and brindle rough bitch out of this litter, coming on nicely jumping anything infront of her and steady around stock, i'll try get few pics of her up. top pups credit to Asha edited to ask what kinda size these pups are making? my bitch is 26" so far

    Aye am excited for the hard work ahead, I've always been into coursing dogs but I like having a wee terrier to get out to abit of digging and ratting, time to start building up the inventory of locators,spades etc etc

    Due to a mate breeding his black bitch to a nice choc patterdale I've decided After a few years of not having a terrier I'm going to get a pup and get back digging, done bits and bobs with mates and their terriers to gain more expeirance because I'm admittedly not that expeiranced so I'm looking forward to get back into terriers and gaining a lot more expeiriance

    Read a lot on here about how slow deerhound Xs are to mature etc etc and I know every individual dogs different but, I feel my dh x gh 2nd cross bitch who is 7.5month is much more mature and switched on at this age than any other pup I've had which have been saluki Xs, I'm just wondering on folks past expeiriance with deerhound Xs maturin.
