I agree mate i got a visla bitch and the drive is great on em,im a spaniel man too and wouldnt be without ,but a visla is definately one of the better hpr breeds,they havent been here long enough for the kennel club or show people to mess up!!!

You can get electrolite solutions from any vet they cost around £2:60 to £3:00 or you can use dioralite solution you can get it from most chemists even on prescription when the kids have got the squirts,make sure you get the natural flavour tho cos the dogs dont like blackcurrant!!!

Id say stay well clear of it guys dont fix it if it aint broke,if an accidental mating occurs while ur away then get her jabbed for that,you've got a 43 day window to do it but a jab that brings em out nocks the living shit out of their hormone system some dogs never recover from it fully

i agree stabs another thing to remember LB is the more you chop and change her diet the fussier she is probably gonna get,i dont think any of us are as worryied as we first were.cos it seems the guy exaggerated,she aint that bad,so dont panic it looks like she could go a while without,try whats been suggested miss a day see what she does,take things from there,some dogs never make big eaters we all now that,is she kenneled on her own if she is leave her food,if she doesnt eat it every day let a dog into her kennel,one thats going to piss her off by stealing all her food,might trigger something

intresting cos we get cycles sometimes dont see it for four seasons.then wallop it takes most of everything out,maybe get a mild outbreak inbetween but it doesnt seem to do any damage till the big one comes!!!

the reason mixi comes in stages is cos when it hits,the survivors that have contracted mixi become immune theese antibodies remain in the genes for two or three generations thus becoming weaker,as the antibodies become weaker the rabbits then become more vulnerable and bang mixi hits,thats why you get mixi every two or three seasons after the last outbreak!!!! :whistle:

Cant say much till uv seen her LB is it a stomach problem is it viral or has she been ill and just got used to not eating,first thing is obvious get it on an electrolite solution that may help enevitably she might need a drip if its gone downhill that bad u may need to hand feed her try liquidating food at this stage tripe or heart might be too rich id stick to chicken and rice for now,just to get the digestive system going anything higher in protein or richer might be disasterous for the little thing good luck keep us informed as im sure as time goes by ul get more advice an d imput from ever

mine mixed up hereit is again to sort out any confusion!!! Very interesting personaly id go to the proven stock theory but genetically the blood should be the base line for the breeding,if the breeding is there then theoretically thats all you need for working drive an ability that goes to anything from terriers down to lurchers even hpr and spaniels,il probably get ripped apart for this but who cares,you've got a point mate when we need a greyhound for our lurcher breeding how many proven working greyhounds are out there,if a terrier is kept for showing and used cos he,s genetically bette
