  3. I will add to this, I have spoken to IanB on the phone about thermal and came away impressed that he didn't try and sell me any old thing, he asked plenty of questions what I was needing, explained the pros and cons of all the kit, not just what he had for sale but also pointed me where to look if what I wanted wasn't what he had ! Yes I agreed a deal on a spotter with him but at no point felt pressure to buy, he just offered what I wanted/needed at the best price I had heard after speaking to lots of companies, yet to fill the scope slot, will see how I get on with a spotter, but I will say i

  5. I've got the 500 Honda, can't fault it, I've dragged trees out and back with it, towed my digger on a plant trailer with it, moved diesel bowsers, rounded sheep, you name it, not missed a beat, if going Honda I was advised to swerve the auto box ones
  6. 2 down Drove round after with a mate with his thermal and saw 5 more! Out again tonight! All fields cut on the shoot so all clear. Just the cover crops for hiding places! Nice one, what thermal has he got ? I should be getting mine next week hopefully

  8. I have ordered the xq38f which should be two weeks hopefully.I can also get the xq50 Lrf next month, but I'm not sure that's the one I want to go for yet, have several other options I am looking at for the scope. Like what if you don't mind me asking ? I done mind anyone asking, the more ideas and opinions the better. On the shortlist are Pulsar xq50lrf ATN 50mm WT1 75-3 All have pros and cons, the wt seems to have the best reputation and image quality is far superior the pulsar and ATN, but performance comes at a massive price. ATN seem to be on par with the pulsar, but more pricey, th

Ha ha, yeah, I would hate getting up every hour to see if it had been nicked, at least they won't take my ranger !
  17. Me and my old man were ferreting the verge one year, two lady cops pulled up as they 'had a report about coursing' ! I says no, were ferreting love, she didn't know what we were on about and started asking a few details, land owner etc etc when a rabbit bolted, I grabbed it and did the obligatory necking, the cop piped up in a very loud manner, 'THATS NOT A FERRET, ITS A RABBIT ! Your quite correct I replied, we tend not to kill all of our ferrets nowadays, she was bouncing around like I had just rifled through a granny's purse or something, took an age before she realised what ferreting actua

    Oh Boy

Thanks, nothing that special, ford ranger, but still cost me a few quid and don't think the hole makes it more desirable !'It's an unfortunate mishap, but was never likely to have caused anyone an injury, he was sat in the passenger seat shooting out the window as I always have done for many years, he simply forgot how far the mirror stuck out, and with the short little bull pup it's quite easy done, you cannot see it through the scope, and unlike in the daylight, or even lamplight you don't notice the mirror in total darkness, that's Nv and bullpups for you

    Oh Boy

Decided to have an hour or two out last night after seeing a few, so with all the kit charged up I went for a toddle, walked down the first field and saw nothing, thought I may be wasting my time. Opened the gate and it clanged like a good un, quick scan round and nowt on show, walked that field and the next without so much as a sniff, so started heading back, one small bunny showed in the bottom of the hedge so a few moments later a jsb exact was winging it way over, perfect head shot and it was lights out, picked up at 42yards and onwards, made it back home with nothing else putting in an a
